Had my 38 week appt today...blood pressure is still through the roof even with an increase dosage in meds...but Mari is doing well...they estimate her at 7lbs 14oz already

Mari is head down, but her head is not engaged yet and my doctor says my body isn't showing any signs of progress yet, so she has scheduled my induction to begin on Thursday evening (10/22) at 6pm with Cervidil, then we'll take it from there...she does not expect the baby to come before Friday or Saturday even...

Hopefully Mari will not wait until Saturday to show!

It's unreal that the last 9 months has boiled down to the last few days...kind of bittersweet...we are definitely ready to meet her and hold her, but I will miss feeling her move and kick and being inside of me

I was induced and she reacted really well, and took 6 hours from first I/V line to having her in my arms, hope all goes well and quickly for you. PS sleep, sleep and sleep this week!

Sorry they aren't going to let you go into labor at your own pace, but the most important thing is that you get to meet your sweet Mari in less than a week! Enjoy these last few days together

Bummer about your blood pressure, how exciting for a date though. Dont be too disheartened if it does take longer than you hoped. we made that mistake, we kept saying oh she'll be here by ......, definatley by....... and is very disheartning when things are still moving at snails pace!!
