we found a sitter today to watch the girls in a few weeks when we go out for my little bro's 30th birthday. she's my little clone. she's our neighbors kid, so i should have talked to her before, but we never really have. we've just waved in passing. i live in a funny neighborhood where you know all your neighbors and hang out in each others houses. i know her parents really well, but not her. anyway, she was here for about an hour and she was telling me about herself. i couldn't believe how many similarities there are between us. it was like talking to myself at that age. i feel totally comfortable leaving the girls with her. we've talked to a few other kids, but i didn't feel like any of them could handle 2 infants, especially when they both get going at top volume. we won't take her up on this, but she offered to sit for free because she's so excited.

I'm not sure. I have to ask my sister what she pays here sitter. I read online that between 15-17 yrs it's usually $5-6/hour for one kid and then a dollar more per additional child. It said it varies by area and that seems a little low to me. It said that 18 years + should be paid more.

Glad you found someone you're comfortable with and you'll be able to enjoy your night out!! Definitely some additional considerations with watching two infants instead of one
