I have been thinking about getting a doppler...there are a couple on e-bay that I can get that come with the gel and stuff, but I'm worried about getting a crappy one that is just going to make me more worried. Does anyone have one? And what kind are they?

I have a friend that is 13 weeks and she is having a hard time getting one to show up and it's a hospital grade one. I recommend getting one from a rental company. They are higher powered. Also I've been told by my OB/GYN that it's not effective in picking up the heart rate all the time till the 15 or 16th week.

I've been using our AngelSounds doppler since about 10 weeks, and absolutely love it! I've never had any trouble finding our little peanut. Amazon.com: Angelsounds Fetal Doppler: Health & Personal Care

I have the HiBebe one and got it from ebay...was going to rent, but since we want more than one (and I am completely paranoid), we decided to buy it instead...and it had pretty good reviews...
I think it said that you could start hearing the H/B between 10-12 weeks, but I have a very retroverted uterus, so everything is way far back...I heard baby on it for the first time at 12 1/2 weeks (it would have been earlier if baby wasn't so far back)...
For the next few weeks, it would take me a long time to find him, but starting at about week 15 or so, I could hear him every time without having to search long at all...

I still do it every night (just for like 20 seconds, so I dont bug him too much)...I LOVE the security it gives me

I also have the angelsounds one and as of last week i still couldnt find anything Dh swears he heard something but i think it was my heart he picked up, idk. The thing about the AngelSounds one is it doenst measure heartrate so if that matters to you then you'll need abit more upgraded from this one.
