My kiddos are finally on the growth chart and their pediatrician is thrilled. Arya is in the 1% at 8lbs 12oz and Eiley is in the 6% at 9 lbs 1 oz. They've come a long way since birth.
Their shots went really well. Both cried of course, but I nursed them after and they stopped right away.
Both have slight Tort, which I suspected. I have an exercise to do with them to help with that. Hopefully that will help it and we won't need physical therapy later on. I'm glad I caught it early. The tort is causing a small flat spot on both of their heads, but it should go away with time.
Eiley's head shape is a little off, also as I suspected. Being breech the whole pregnancy made her head more long and narrow than round. The doc things it will round out by itself when she starts spending time sitting up in a bumbo and excrsaucer. If it doesn't, she may need a helmet, but it's not severe so hopefully we can avoid that.

That's wonderful! Such a relief when you know that they are finally gaining weight steadily. Both my girls' heads got a little flat it peaked at around 4 months or so and now (8 months) they are round again. After 4 months they spend more time in play things like exersaucers and that really helps. I was so worried about it, but it all turned out okay in the end. Way to go catching the Tort in time, I think it will make all the difference. Hooray Arya and Eiley!!

YAY for the girls getting on the growth charts! That must be a relief. Glad to hear the tort was caught early. Hopefully everything straightens out on it's own.

Great growing! Weight gain issues can be so stressful, so seeing them place on the chart is quite a relief. I hope that the tortocollis and headshape issues resolve themselves. I'm glad they weathered the shots w/ relative ease, Valerie.

BFing is going well most days. they usually eat together and i can nak while thaey eat. this week they decided they didn't always want to nurse together. that was annoying. they are doing that today too, but they don't have a choice i just get a lot of grumbling out of them before they realize there is no choice and they just eat. Thankfully, they are finally getting faster at it and it doesn't always take them forever now.

Good growing, I also know how frustrating it is when they seem to be doing well and aren´t even on the charts!
How do you have 2 latched on and still NAK??

One lays across me with her head in the crook of my elbow. The other one has her head on her sister's butt and her body next to me, but on a pillow. I hold her head/back with the hand from the arm that's holding her sister's head. That gives me a free arm to do anything I want. If I'm nursing one, like right now, I can tuck her in close with one arm and type two handed. Their little noggins are getting heavy.

I'm glad they're growing so well!
My son Nathan was also born with tort and had a misshapen head and the tort caused it to get worse. We were in physio-therapy for a few months and were released but because we didn't keep up on the exercises as well as we should have, we're still dealing with it. It can be, quite literally, a pain in the neck! I just wanted to say that as hard as it is to get the time to do the exercises, it's much easier to do them when they're babies rather than having a squirming 9 month old to try to tame long enough to do it! We've since started massage therapy and seeing a chiropractor to help deal with it but we've still got to be keeping up with it all the time. Luckily, Nathan's head shape did round out enough not to require a helmet but isn't perfectly round or symmetrical.
I hope the tort isn't as bad with your LO's! The ladies at the tort board are great if you ever needed any advice/opinions, or feel free to send me a PM!

CELRY! I have a question for you. I just saw on your signature that you used acupuncture to conceive. I just started acupuncture a week ago and I'll be going weekly till DH comes to visit in November. How did it work for you? I see you got your BFP but how long did it take and what did you experience? I'm currently coming off of six months of Lupron (menopause) and I'm trying to through my body back into a cycle.

Krystal, we are doing the stretching exercises after each feeding and diaper change. They don't like it, but like you said, it's easier to do now.
Daneeleigh, I did accupuncture for almost 3 months. It was regulating my cycles, which were pretty long. It was making me O earlier each month and my LP, which was too short, was lengthening out. I was temping and my charts were looking better each month. I'd been trying to get preggo for 21 months with one miscarriage. I'm a total believer now in accupuncture. I'm sure it can't cure all issues, but it definitely worked for mine. There is a great book I read called The Infertility Cure by Dr. Randine Lewis. It's very interesting. My acupuncturist has had training from Dr. Lewis. I eat very healthy, but changed my diet according to what the accupuncturist wanted me eating (no wheat, no dairy, certain fruits and veggies). I also used the herbs she specifically mixed for me. The herb blend changed every week depending on what she thought i needed.

OMG!!!!!! That's the exact book I'm reading right now!!! That's what led me to this idea. I'm currently doing physical therapy for endo and fibromyalgia and they have been trying to refer me to the acupuncturist. They gave me the book and I was convinced before the third chapter. If I just get pain relief from it it's worth the money for me.
Before my first appointment all my OPKs were stark white. The day after my apt I got my first small little line. I'm hoping to O soon. I'm soo excited about it. I remember you from when I was ttc about a little over a year ago on the ttc 1 yr+ board. Congrats on your twins! I'm really hoping me and DH can get our BFPs this Thanksgiving or Christmas. It's the only two times we'll see each other before he goes on deployment for a year in Jan.

WHOO HOO for hitting the charts!!! Good job Valerie - you are doing a great job with them. I had a hard enough time with just one I can NOT imagine how hard it must be for two of them! They are simply adorable though!
