We were given 2 backpacks to carry the kiddos at a shower recently. We were also given one ergo. We can't decide if we should return the backpacks and get another Ergo, or return the Ergo. The backpack has a cover we can use to either shade the kids or protect the\m from the rain. The ergo doesn't have anything like that, but is smaller and weighs less. The backpacks are about 6 lbs each.

Anyone have experience with these type of carriers that has a suggestion of what we should do?

I personally would return the backpack carriers and get another Ergo. There are more ways to carry with the Ergo- front, back and hip. The Ergo does have the sleep hood cover to cover their head and they sell the weather cover to use with it as well.
