Valerie's post about carriers made me think about my carrier. I have a bijorn..and I do like it but I've seen people with the Moby and it seems like it has a lot more options to use for holding. So anyone who owns one, when you order it does it come with detailed instructions on the different carries? Do you like it? Or would you guys suggest a different carrier?

I don't have an actual Moby. I bought good jersey fabric at the fabric stoer and use that. I had a coupon, so spent about $25 and got 2 mobys out of it. You can look at their website for different carry positions. We have Bjorns too, but I love the Moby. The kids love it and I think it's better for their hips to sit in that than in the Bjorn all the time. DH and I are going to TX next week. I'm bringing my Moby instead of my Bjorn. Partly because I can carry one or both in it, but also because I find it more comfortable on my back to carry them in it for a long time.

I went to an event that had all sorts of carriers/slings. They had a detailed book with the different Moby carrying positions. I think that came with the Moby, but I'm sure someone else can tell you for sure.

I LOVE my moby and so does Lily. There are detailed instructions that come with it. I would suggest watching a YouTube video on how to wrap it. That's what I did. And as soon as I got my Moby, I tried putting it on, without even reading the directions. Now I can get it on in less than 30 seconds. There are so many different holds with it. I have never figured out the cradle hold, but Lily is too big for that now, so it doesn't matter. I love being able to have her forward facing and she loves looking at everything.

I can not praise the Moby enough! I rarely leave Lily in her car seat when we go out. She is much happier in the Moby. And I find it so nice to get things done arond the house with her in it. When she gets sleepy, I just turn her around and she is out like a light. So convienent!

It is so comfy too. I never have a back or sholder ache from wearing her in it. I don't think you would regret getting one at all!

I have a sleepy wrap, same as a moby. I love it. don't use it now though cause Z is too big (23.5lbs and 30in) You can look at youtube for video tutorials on how to use/wrap/wear the Moby.
I ditto to what Valerie said about making your own. I wish I would have!

There is nothing to making one. I bought 5.5 yards of good quality jersey. It comes in about 60" wide. The way it's sold it has a fold down the center. You cut down that fold so it's 30" wide and you're done. If you have a serger sewing machine, you can serge the outside, but it's not necessary. You can wash jersey fabric without it unraveling. You may want to put a patch or something in the middle to mark it so it's easy to find to wrap it quickly. The Moby has a little moby emblem on that middle.

I've been debating whether or not to get a Moby and you guys really know how to sell it! I think maybe I'll go ahead and get one.

im still practising with mine, lol You do get a book with detailed instructions but the website has the same instructions/pictures on them so if you wanted to make your own you could. Bellas such a fidget bum, her head control isnt 100% yet so I only have her facing inwards but she doesnt like this for too long as she cant be nosey.lol Im def getting better in it and Im sure we will get alot more use out of it when I can forward face her. I love it though, theres so many holding options
