Actually, what happened with the boys was a very very very RARE occurence. We had their placenta tested and there were no chromosome abnormalities...it was just an instance where an egg was fertilized and tried to split into identical twins, but just didn't complete the process
Tres was diagnosed as a blighted ovum. These are pretty common actually. 50% of miscarriages are blighted ovums. 4 out of 5 blighted ovums are caused by some sort of chromosome abnormality. Nothing causes it, and nothing can prevent it.
Our RE has pretty much diagnosed us with really bad luck
