So we had a few good nights of 4-5 hour stretches of sleep, but lately Amelia has been getting up every two hours. It's killing me. Sometimes she wants to eat, but sometimes once I pick her up she goes right back to sleep. Sometimes she falls asleep and I put her down in her cosleeper and she wakes right back up. Has anyone else experienced and/or conquered any of this? She turned 5 months on Friday.

Bella is so new so I can't compare yet but I'm hoping Amelia is just going through a phase and she passes through it quickly for you!

This is not something you're going to want to hear, but Christian went through a sleep regression around 5-6 months and is still rough at night. He goes down around 730-8 and is usually awake within the hour and is up with me until 11 or midnight (lately, close to 1am- NOT COOL!) and then sleeps through until morning. He's not hungry when he wakes up, I think he's been doing it for so long, it's just habit now, but I refuse to let him CIO so here we are... *sigh* I don't know if I've caused this myself by letting him hang out with me at night or if that's just how he is. He is very capable of sleeping through the night from 730 or 8 because he does it on the rare occasion. Anyway, it seems sleep regression at Amelia's age is somewhat normal. A lot of members in my PR experienced the same thing.

Ana makes three! I´m not much help either!
She was always such a good sleeper, 12 hours straight through, but at 5.5 months she started waking for a feed at 1am, (I had to feed her at 3 anyway as per her weightgain programme). Then when I could drop that (she never even woke when I fed her) she decided to get me up at 1am and 5am. We still have the 5am one!. I´m hoping its a phase and maybe if I could let her CIO, then she would be better. (I hate to leave her crying when she might be hungry).

You're probably not going to like what I have to say either, but I'm going on 8 months & Allie has only slept through the night for about a 2 week period when she was 3.5 months old. DH & I are at our wits end. We're so darn exhausted. I hate pictures of me because I look so tired I suspect it's the formula that she's on though (& other less significant factors)... She's on soy which doesn't keep her filled up. Not only that, but we just switched daycares & she eats *maybe* 12oz while she's there. That's on a good day. So at night she's trying to make up for it. She's up about every 2 hours throughout the night & always up for good by 7:30 the very latest regardless of how little sleep she's gotten.

All I can say is that I hope she starts sleeping for you again. I know how draining it is, especially if you're a WOHM & have to be up & out of the house at a certain time everyday.

One of my good friends has a 2 year old who had sleep regression between 5-7 months of age. Guess it is pretty common. Good luck - hope it doesn't last too long!

Sorry you're not getting much sleep. Brady has been getting up more lately too. The very few nights where he slept until 5am were such a tease!
