hey ladies,
I haven't updated in awhile so I thought that I would let you all know how things are going.
I am 34 weeks 1day and I am feeling really good Well as good as you can be when you are carrying around 20 extra pounds!! I have started my two week appointments, which is exciting and scary at the same time, since that means things are getting closer by the day
We have our nursery all done and I had my baby shower and got lots of great stuff, just need a few little things to finish everything off. I still need to get a diaper bag and then pack my hospital bag and I think that is it!! I can't believe it is getting so close
At my last appointment baby was measuring perfectly at 33 weeks, I lost weight in the two weeks before that, but the doctor said that she wasn't worried, so in total I have gained 20 pounds, which is right on target since I was about 10 pounds over weight when I got pregnant. Baby Girls heartrate was right on target, between 134-158 and is still moving around like crazy, she is head down (and has been head down since 26 weeks ) and the doctor said that it is highly unlikely that she will flip in the next 7 weeks.
I have to get my Group B strep test next appointment, which I hear isn't that much fun, but what can you do??
I have two more meetings with my doula in the next three weeks, she is amazing, we have decided that we aren't going to go to the hospital until I feel like I am ready to push, I am soooo hoping for a natural childbirth. I feel very blessed that I have such a supportive team in my husband, my mother and my doula, they are all behind me 100%. I have been doing the hypnobabies course and it has really helped me to learn how to relax and let go of control.
Wow this is longer than I thought it would be. Here is my most recent belly pic, 34 weeks , a couple pics of the nursery and some 3D pics of my baby girl!!!

You look fantastic! And the nursery looks awesome! I'm also 34 weeks and I guess I'm lucky in the sense that I don't need to do the GBS test since I already tested positive for it in a urine culture. The fun is never ending! LOL. GL!

Awwww Megan, you and baby both look fantastic! And your nursery is super cute - we chose almost the EXACT same colors for ours, which is going to be an 'ocean' theme!
BTW, I am following your birth plan!! I also have an awesome Doula, and DH has read a bunch of great books so he is prepared too (like The Birth Partner - highly recommend that one to anyone). I, like you, feel so blessed to have a great 'team' of people who will help me have the NCB I want and deserve. I know it will be hard as a first timer to know when is the right time to go to the hospital, but I am just going to trust that my body will let me know when the time is right. In the mean time, we both can enjoy all the comforts of home to help keep us relaxed and at peace. I'm hoping to have our nursery totally done by then so I can just go sit on my birth ball in there and visualize being in there with baby. I think that will help me to get through the more difficult contractions.
Good luck!

Thanks Gwen!!! We have a list of names but can't seem to decide on one my DH is getting pretty frustrated with me because I just want her name to be perfect So I think we are going to keep it a surprise until she is born, then at least there is something for people to look forward too!!!

I couldn't figure out how to get both quotes in one post yeah I am so happy to have a great support team because I know that is what you need in order to have a better chance at having the birth you want!!!
Lauren and Lisa - I know I can't believe that it has gone by sooooo fast. I feel like this pregnancy has only lasted a few months. Everyone keeps telling me that it is the last few weeks that take the longest I can't wait to meet my baby girl !!!
thanks everyone!! I am sure that I will gain more weight now that I have stopped working. I was a waitress so I was walking around for at least 5 hours a day on the days that I worked, but my last day is this saturday, so i am going to have to try to get out and walk since my source of exercise will be gone
