I hope it is so much less eventful than you are anticipating!!! It was a big leap for us to go swaddle-free, too. We had a few failed attempts before mastery. Good luck, Michelle!

GL!!!! I thought it was gonna be this huge struggle too and it turned out it was not. Just one night we decided to not swaddle her and she slept fine! I think my MIL (who watches her during the day) has her take naps without it so I think that helped! Hope it worked out for ya!!!

its funny you posted this because DH and I were just talking about how rough it might be when we decide to stop swaddling Bella at night. I hope it was uneventful for you!!

How did everything go? I know my brother and SIL worry about not swaddling my niece at night, cause as it is when she breaks free, she ends up waking herself up because she moves around lots when she sleeps.

yes, how did it go? I need to start unswaddling Persephonee at night, too. (did you keep arms out when you would swaddle? that is what I do)

It went great! I was seriously expecting the worst too.

When we swaddled we only did his arms b/c that was what always woke him up. Last night he still squirmed but he stayed asleep. We'll see if we can have a repeat tonight.

Hope tonight is more of the same, Michelle. It took Elliott about 4 months, too, but once we made the transition, he never looked back!
