How in the world do you make sure you have enough food to last through the day...I am starving all the time recently it seems (which is a good thing I guess) and I find my lunch lacking today...I am almost finished it, and it is only 1 oclock, I still have 3.5 hours to go before the end of the day. LOL!!! Any suggestions? lol

Is there a place where you can put and leave items (like a kitchen, desk drawer, or just use your purse)....like a box of breakfast bars and then when you need one or two just go grab it?

That is typically what I do, I will bring 3 nutrigrain bars and stick them in my desk....sometimes I do not bring enough food, so I either suck it up or go to the vending machine (which I try not to do cause I end up getting junk food)! I'm also able to leave if I need to and there has been 1 time (last week) I ran to McDonald's at 3pm and got french fries and a drink.

I know how you feel. I was constantly hungry in the first trimester and if I didn't eat I would get sick. We have a fridge here for the employees and I would have it stocked with yogurt and fruit cups and at my desk I would keep that stocked as well with crackers, trail mix, bread, peanut butter that type of thing. I would try to never run low lol. Oh another thing I would do is if I went out to lunch I would save half because I would always be hungry again at like 3. I so don't miss that time. Once you're in the second trimester it should start to get better.

We have a breakroom with a BUNCH of (unhealthy) goodies. There are some healthy options too.
I would just bring a stock pile of your own goodies: craisins, crackers, fruit, veggies w/ dip, fiber one bars, oatmeal, dry cereal, etc...

I'm not pg anymore but I worked up until 2 days before I gave birth so I know all about this
I stored 100 calorie snack packs & things like Fiber One bars in my desk. Also things like sliced almonds were great for me as it helped with the nausea & also helped fill me up or hold me off until it was time to eat.
It does get better in the 2nd trimester. But for me, it picked up again in the 3rd

I used to pack enough food each day for about 2-3 days. I would never know what would sound good to me during the day, so I'd bring it all!

The lowest bookshelf in my office is like my own personal pantry. Salted, roasted almonds, oatmeal cookies, pumpkin seeds, pretzels, gum, tea, and usually a few pieces of fruit that I bring in with my lunch each day. I also keep string cheese in the office fridge. I'd never make it on lunch alone!!

I wish I had it figured out, I'm going through the same thing! I also have students whine every time I eat a snack, but I tell them when they are the teacher they can eat whenever they want too. They don't know I'm pg yet, because I'm still afraid something will happen. I do know if I don't bring enough lunch, I will usually leave right when my contract time is up and get a potato from Wendy's or something. Rough life

I bought ceral bars and canned fruit at the store...(I do eat real fruit too, but it's harder cause if it doesn't appeal to me that day it goes bad.) I also have the problem of not knowing what is going to be good to me that day. LOL...sigh. I used to take cheese stings...but now with the iron already constipating me...I'm not sure I need the cheese too...which makes it hard cause I need the calcium. Anyway, enough about me. Hope you all are doing well, and thanks for the suggestions.

I always have a stash of food in my desk cupboard and I'm not even pg! I like to keep Tuna Snacks (it comes with the crackers), dried fruit, bran bars (should help you counteract the iron), granola bits, and bars. I also have package of Fudgee-os, but I keep those really hidden away!

I just wanted to say (even though I'm not pregnant) that eating a good breakfast used to help me before I m/c. I would have eggs (the extra Omega 3 kind), I'd make a fruit smoothie (The bigger tubs of Light and Fit come in like 2 cup tubs with a foil type lid and there are recipes under there) but you mix yogurt and fruit in them and I would also add a package of the Carnation Instant Breakfast (only because it has tons of vitamins in it and you can't taste it once it is all blended up) and I would also eat some whole grain bagels with that Brumble and Brown strawberry spread which is also made with yogurt so it wasn't as fatty as a cream cheese spread. And OATMEAL was great too! It helps to keep hunger at bay so I could usually make it until about 10:30 and then need a snack. But if you eat a snack with good protein in it, like nuts, it helps with hunger as well.

Just some fruit or yogurt or a cereal bar would never help me, I would have to have like all 3 for a snack so I had to make sure I ate right instead of eating empty calories. But sometimes your stomach does not agree with what you should be eating!
