Update on us

Hi everyone! Sorry i've been MIA. The time zones are so different...it's way past my bedtime right not. lol

Things are great on my side. Husna is now 9 months old and i love my baby girl to bits. She has started crawling but in a weird way - she drags her one foot along. Initially i freaked coz i thought something was wrong with her leg, but then i realised it's just her way of getting around

She has also started pulling herself up and standing, but it is still fairly new so she tends to let go and fall down.

We got Husna's ears pierced when she turned 8 months. I think I was more traumatised than she was! Just had to apply some antiseptic twice a day and we haven't looked back since.

Husna no longer likes baby food so I've stopped cooking special meals for her altogether and she eats what we eat, curries and all! The spices don't seem to bother her in the slightest. She is on 3 bottles a day, 2 naps and still sleeps through (woo hoo!). Yesterday she only woke up at 8.30am so i had a lovely sleep! lol

Every week we go to Moms & Babes which we both thoroughly enjoy. Pretty sad coz it's our last class for the year next week

Dh and I were planning on TTC #2 this month but we've decided to wait til Husna turns 1 - i think it will be better for all of us. Next year Jan I will hopefully be working from home part-time which I am looking forward to.

Hey Fatima! thanks for the update! Glad to hear all is going well! She's so cute and getting so big! (Sounds similar to how Zane crawls)

Fatima, It is so great to hear from you! Husna is just gorgeous with those lovely big brown eyes. It sounds like she is quite bright and happy, too. She and Elliott sound like they are doing the same things.

That's exciting about TTC #2--we aren't quite there yet. Are you enjoying staying home with Husna? That may be a silly question. . .when will you start working part-time?

Linds - i was so worried about the leg thing but then found that ALOT of babies actually do it. Zane is such a cutie!

Courtney - whenever i read your posts i think the exact same thing - Elliott and Husna are very much reaching their milestones around the same time

Staying at home has its ups and downs. Sometimes I feel like I need a little more mind stimulation so I've started my own little online business selling leg warmers and things which i import from China. If i work it will be from around mid-Jan, but it will be a few hours 3 times a week, from home as well. I'm quite excited!
