I know there are some ladies that enjoy making things here so i thought i would ask for some opinions since i'm rather clueless about what i'm doing! Lol.

Okay, so i'm making a quilt for my mom for X mas, Its 4x5 ft with each square being 1 foot. Each square represents a member of my family, which is why i picked the size that i did. I've got each row sewn together now and i'm going to start attaching them all to eachother tonight or tomorrow... after i do that will be attachng the back of it then putting in the batting (right?). Okay now heres the problem. I figured it would probably be easiest for me since this is my first time trying something like this if i made the whole thing out of the same kind of fabric (which i picked "snuggle" flannel)... so i went to the store to look at solid color flannel for the back and its only 43 inches wide. The blanket as i said is 48 inches wide plus a border (and thats already done so it can't be changed)... so, should i

A) have a seam down the back and use two pieces of solid color flannel
or
just get a different type of fabric that is 60 inches (would it make it more complicated being different?)
or
C) other idea?

Any opinions welcome, TIA!

Sorry I have no idea. Maybe you could google it, or ask the lady at the fabric store? Good luck!

yeah thats probably a good idea, i'm still undecided. Apparently its pretty common for the back to have a seam but i'm kind of weird about things like that so i might look around for another fabric. hm
