Not much to see, but there's definitely a baby in there. We went in to hear the heart, but he couldn't find it, so he did the u/s. I guess the baby is near a major blood vessel or something, so all he could hear was my heart. Anyway, we got to see it and even got a picture! Very exciting!


Oh and he changed my due date to July 2nd, but I am still going with June 25th because that is based on my O date. He had me at around 8 weeks, and I have myself at barely 9 weeks today, so either way is pretty close.

He wants to see me again in 4 weeks, does anyone know what that appointment is for? I dunno if I should ask my husband to come or not, he came today and he came to the blood draw. Does anything exciting happen at 12/13 weeks?

You will go every 4 weeks to the DR for a check up. They may even ask you if you want the NT scan and bloodwork (totally optional). I opted not have those tests done, but she asked if I had any questions, I got the H1N1 vaccine, and they heard the heartbeat on the doppler. It wont be nearly as long as your first.

Well he'll probably want to be there if they do more checking in. Lucky you that you got that vaccine, I can't find it anywhere!!

Congrats! So glad you were able to see the heartbeat. You are going to go to the OB roughly every 4 weeks from here on out. They will check your weight, blood pressure, etc, and start to measure you and listen to the heartbeat by doppler as you get farther along. I don't have my huband go to all the appointment as they are pretty quick and routine.

Write a list of questions as you think of them so you remember to ask at your appointments.

You will definitely be able to hear the HB in 4 more weeks...so DH may want to come with you to hear that!! I'm glad your first US went well!

COngrats on seeing your LO for the first time! And I had DH come with me to every appointment but that was because his job was flexible! I would have him come to the next one to hear the heartbeat. Try to record it too...you will want to listen to it over and over again! I still like hearing it even though she's already here!!!

You'll have an appointment every 4 weeks...my DH never goes to those cause its a 5 minutes appointment involving: pee in a cup, blood pressure check, weight check, doc comes in hi, any problems, feel the belly, find HB on doppler, and done...

but he always goes to the U/Ss...
