So I got on the scale today and I've gone under my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm a pound under now. I had gained five pounds at first and lost all of that. I'm only curious have others lost weight in their first trimester? I'm not trying to I feel like I eat all the time. The first pregnancy I only gained.

I didn't get into the positives until week 22! As long as your doctor is ok with it I wouldn't worry about it. I lost from weeks 8 - 16 and then played catch up until I finally started gaining a little bit at a time!

I lost weight until the 2nd trimester. I think 10lbs total, and I was a healthy weight to begin with, but my dr wasn't concerned.

I lost weight at first. I started gaining after the first few months. I was told to be up 20 lbs by 20 weeks with a twin pregnancy and was only up 10 by then.

I lost 10 lbs in the beginning and am still 5 lbs under my pre-pregnancy weight at almost 20 weeks. (I was never over weight to begin with)

The doctor told me (because I was also concerned with this issue) that as long as the baby is weighing the right amount and obviously taking what it needs then your weight really doesn't matter much as long as you're not gaining too much.

I hope you're feeling well and as long as your baby is measuring on target then be happy you're getting lucky! lol

Basically what the other girls said - baby is so tiny right now that s/he doesn't *need* all that much, and has no trouble taking what s/he needs from what you eat...I only gained 2 pounds by 20 weeks...of course, I was up 4 more pounds by 24 weeks which made me a bit nervous...

1lb a week is "normal" in the 2nd trimester, nothing to be worried about!
