I went to my weekly OB appointment today and am now officially on bedrest. As some of you remember I have been having an extremely high pulse rate since mid way through the second trimester. Today my pulse after 10 minutes of resting was still 120. My BP is now elevating and was 140/100 (but, no signs of preeclampsia!). Plus I am still measuring 5 weeks ahead now. So, my OB said home to bedrest! I am very upset but I know it's for the safety of me and the baby.

I go to the cardiologist tomorrow morning and then for an ultrasound in the afternoon. Then back to the OB on Friday. That will be 4 appointments this week alone! At least it gets me out of the house for a little while.

I don't have a laptop so I will be MIA until the one I am borrowing gets here. I will update again then.

I'm so sorry to hear about the bed rest, but you are right it is what is best for your baby!!! I hope that bedrest helps bring down your blood pressure and your heart rate.

Aw, sorry about the bed rest. As long as you and baby are safe, that is the important thing.

I absolutely don't want to scare you- so please take this for what it's worth! ....
I was showing no signs of pre-eclampsia the whole preg other than increased BP toward the end and even went through the 24 hr urine and a dozen labor and delivery visits with lab work, etc. It wasn't until the actual DAY OF my delivery that my labs started to change- quickly- and my BP sky rocketed (170's over 105)... I was taken right back for the c/s and my placenta confirmed atypical severe pre-eclampsia..

Again- I don't want to alarm you. I was also very upset that I was on bedrest for weeks but in the end was SO thankful. As much as it sucks, it's definitely best!!! Hang in there sweety! The end is in sight!!! It will be SO SO worth it when it's all over! I am hoping and praying that these issues resolve themselves and don't cause you any further complications. KUP!

I wasn't on bedrest, but had to sit and do nothing for weeks. It's worth it in the end, even f it gets totally boring. Make sure you keep lots of thinhs to do within arms reach. You may also want to keep a cooler next to you with water and snacks so you aren't getting up a lot. I hope the bedrests helps with everything.

Oh no! I hope you are doing okay and able to get some rest. Hang in there. I'm sure it's no fun at all, but will definitely be worth it.
