Well, we went to the 3D ultrasound today, and I was so excited...
BUT, baby was sleeping, and completely facing my spine, with his hand next to his face, so you couldn't see anything at all...and he kicked a few times when you tried to wake him up, but otherwise, he just sat there...why is he so lazy? Everyone else talks about how active their babies were at ultrasounds, but I've had 5 ultrasounds, and baby has been sleeping every single time - geesh!!
BOO!! Bad baby!!
We have a redo for next week that they need to schedule...cause we got no pictures at all

I have a very uncooperative child also, so you are not the only one! I was at the NT scan for 35-40 minutes.....I had to turn positions about 8 times, cough, the sonographer bounced the wand/hand thingy on my stomach a ton of times so that baby would get in the right position / and at times wake up.
We did see the baby wave his hand....he/she was probably flipping us off
I almost called it quits yesterday also...it was the worst appointment I've been to yet. Because my uterus is also farther back, she had to press so hard on my stomach to get the image...that it feels bruised.

Megan-
I had 3 chocolate Hershey kisses right before...and he was not moving at all...
I'm gonna try juice next time...
I'm actually starting to get kinda nervous, I haven't felt him kick hardly at all since noon - except for 3 kicks about 2 hours ago...that's it...usually 4pm (when we had the U/S) is when he is most active (for him)...but not today...ugh!
We are going on a plane tomorrow morning...if I dont feel him all night (he usually kicks around midnight also), I'm gonna be a wreck tomorrow

I'm sorry Tonya... I feel bad about talking about my active baby that wouldn't let us get a good picture...why does it seem it's one or the other...either too active or not active enough...sorry again...I think he is probably shy...(isn't DH a little shy? Or did I dream that?)
Hope it goes better next week. My baby could have been so active too because I did have a huge glass of juice this morning, because someone did tell me that juice would help them move...I would try that, and hopefully he won't be as shy next week.

((hugs)) Savannah has always been pretty mild in there - everyone in my DDC is always talking about how crazy active there babies are - but Savannah just isn't like that... We always end up getting good pictures of her though because she's always positioned just right.
Some babies are just more mild than others..

Orange juice always worked with Alice. Chocolate and other candy didn't though.
I hope you get some good pictures at your next scan! I want to see your baby too!

I ditto the orange juice. My last appt she wasn't moving at all either, but for yesterday's I drank OJ on the way to the appt and boy she was flipping all over the place and wouldn't stay still! I also feel her kicking like crazy when I drink OJ which I usually drink every morning. Hopefully something will work to get that baby moving!

Aw, sorry your LO wasn't active for the U/S... mine did the same thing (and he is much more active now). Try bringing orange juice or a frappicino (that worked for me!) to the U/S and drink it right before. I hope your LO kicked up a little storm last night so you don't have to be nervous when getting on the plane today.

Mine has active days and then lazy days. My first ultrasound we couldn't hardly get him to move at all. It can be frustrating. Hopefully you'll get some pics at your redo.

Sorry baby isn't cooperating. Hope the chocolate and juice helps for the next one. I think baby is just so comfy in there he just can't help relaxing.
