What exactly do they do at appointments during the second trimester?

urine, blood pressure, heartbeat with doppler and I believe fundal height measurements.

Mine were pretty boring... urine, BP, weight, HB (which has always been my favorite part ). Toward the end, you will get you glucose test.

Ah so basically they'll be like 10 minute long appointments then? Just trying to decide if its worth it for dh to go but it doesnt seem like it then.

I agree with the other girls. You can also choose to have the afp4 blood test, but just be warned it comes with a lot of false positives. You can also find out the gender in the 2nd tri during your 20 week u/s!

We found out the gender and i got the paper work for the afp test at my last appointment
