Well the ultrasound did not go well. As soon as the doctor ran the wand over my stomach, I could see. My uterus was empty. She ran it back a few times, before I finally said: do you see anything? No she said. She then performed a vaginal ultrasound and located the baby in my left tube. Everything seemed like a dream. At one point I thought to myself "wake up, just wake up." After we went and met with our doctor and went over the options. But there weren't really any options. As we were told, we were lucky because they caught it so quick. The fetus was measuring 1.6 cm and since I'm only 5 and a half weeks, they are hopeful that surgery will not be required. The gave me the first two shots of methotrexate, and I go back for blood work on Monday and then Christmas day. Depending on my levels then, a second set of shots may be required. My beta today was down from 400, to 220. So I was told that was also a good sign.
I'm pretty numb right now. This all seems so unreal. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It just went so fast. I can't beleive it's all over.
