So today is my due date! I had my doctor's appt this morning. I'm about 1cm dilated and almost fully effaced. Lost 2lbs  (48lbs total to date). The doctor said that he would put money on the fact that I will not make it to Sunday (7pm) when I would be starting my induction. I was having a lot of pain and discomfort when I was at the office, as well as contracting (been going on since yesterday), so he got me hooked up to the labor monitor. He was worried because it took me 2 hours to get to the office (because of all the snow that we had) and he didn't want me to go home and have to come right back. I was having somewhat irregular contractions throughout the half hour I was hooked up, but the contractions were weak. He does think it will be soon... he even recommended that if I had family close to the hospital, I stay with them for the next few days. Unfortunately, only my ILs are 1/2 hour away and I couldn't bring my dogs with me so that is a no-go. Oh well, hopefully he is right and things get started soon! I'm still contracting so hopefully that continues and they get stronger.

Good luck and KUP!! I hope the snow doesn't make it such a hassle for you to get to the hospital for the main event - will they have the roads better cleared by then??

Thanks! The parkways are pretty clear, but the roads to the hospital are not so great. With snow melting today and then re-freezing at night, we'll need to take things slow. Luckily DH is pretty good at dealing with icy roads.

I am so excited for you Lynda! I know that right now the waiting seems to be going on indefinitely, but trust me, when your baby gets here you'll be amazed at how quickly time has passed!

You know, I was thinking this, this afternoon. Time has slowed to a crawl for me the last few weeks but I know that as soon as he gets here, I know the time is going to fly...
