Brevan doesn't seem to like to fall asleep unless he's swaddled. He flares his arms up and down when he's not swaddled. I hate seeing him bound so tightly though. It's disturbing to me for some reason lol. He seems to like it though.

Oh most definitely I swaddled Paige. She would get herself all worked up if we didn't. I loved the Miracle Blanket. At first, I thought it was so mean, but after we used it, I swear by this thing. She was able to wiggle her way out of every single swaddle we did with blankets, but not with the miracle blanket. I highly recommend it. GL!!

I haven't gotten there yet, but I know my niece will not sleep unless she is swaddled. I heard that it is because they are used to being tight and cozy from being in our wombs, but I'm not sure if that's accurate.

I wouldn't have slept at all if we didn't swaddle. They still lve it. We're putting them in sleep sacks periodically now for naps, but they still prefer swaddling. I'm not sure when they will out grow that.

Siera didn't like it at all. I swaddled her but lightly because she liked to keep her arms by her face so I'd leave it loose at the top. It helped keep her warm during those winter nights though.

It is really a biological need--there is a reason that all of our ancestors swaddled in some form or fashion. It's called the Moro or startle reflex, and it's activated when baby is lying on their back. We swaddled until 4ish months and it was most definitely needed. Please don't feel bad about it--you are doing your LO a favor!

I wish I had had that miracle blanket.... no blanket was big enough to keep her swaddled.

I'm so glad my LO isn't the only that loves this. I'm going to try the miracle blanket.

We are the odd balls but we don't swaddle. He hates it and screams bloody murder. We use sleep sacks and he sleeps great in these and is a good sleeper. I think whatever works for you but definitely don't feel bad. Lots of babies love swaddling!

We swaddled until almost 4 months. When they still have the moro reflex, it is a necessity for many babies if you want them to actually sleep! Try not to feel bad, they actually enjoy it, it's cozy and like being in Mommy. We used the SwaddleMe and loved it!
