We would like to announce to our families the baby's gender at Christmas. We will have a couple of different settings as family won't be all together.

Does anyone have any ideas? Keep in mind that I'm running out of time!!

Thanks ladies!!

I was going to make pink or blue cupcakes (the cupcake itself was going to be colored not the icing) and serve them at Thanksgiving but couldnt keep it a secret that long! Lol.

The cupcakes is a good idea...or give grandma and or grandpa a bib that says I love my grandma/grandpa in the respective color??? (blue in your case) I'm really not great with this stuff...

you used to be able to buy bubble gum cigars in the respective color...maybe look for those and give them to everyone??

I walked in to my mom's house with a bunch of blue balloons for her. I thought it would be fun to surprise her and it was. But, I told her the same day we found out. I can't believe you have the strength to keep the secret until Christmas!

The cupcakes sound like a good idea too.

I also love the cupcake idea but it's way too much work for me - i have no time for that in the next couple of days!

Marci - the bibs are also great but my FIL will be Nonno and my mom will be Baba... it's not easy to find bibs with those on them.

Any other ideas?

I'm actually looking to see if I can find a custom embroidery place nearby that can do it before x-mas.

I was just going to say, there are lots of girl or boy specific things... Like for girls, they have the "Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice" onesies and bibs, and "Thank Heaven for Little Boys" for the boys.

You could always try Safeway, FYI. They have cupcakes there (at least at the one in our town) that have pastel pink or pastel blue frosting. Less work, but still gets the point across

I got the bibs! So excited!

We don't have Safeway Cheryl!

I'll post a pic later - hopefully will take video of my FIL!

That's an awesome idea Liss... I know I won't be able to keep it a secret long enough for an important surprise, but it has got me thinking about how I will tell the news.
