What activities do you do with your LO's?

We do lots of singing. They love songs with hand motions. They are learning to anticipate when I'll be doing things to them within the song.

They love when I lay on my back on the floor with my legs up, bend my knees and put them on their stomachs on my shins with their heads facing me. I bounce them all around like that.

We read lots of books in the middle of the day. They aren't good at sitting to look at them after 4:00.

I talk to them constantly, even in stores. So many people assume I'm talking to them and not the babies.

We used to go on walks, but it's too cold now.

I do the same thing!! She loves it!!

We also read books, sing and dance together!! She loves clapping and when I bounce her in her jumperoo! She hasn't quite figured it out herself yet.

I also lie down on my back and balance Siera on my shins.. we call it the "Superman"

She likes music and books so we sing a lot of lullabies and I read her stories. She likes to turn the pages so we only use fabric books or the thick cardboard kinds.

I'm trying to teach her to play with the ring stacker thingy (?) but when I put the rings on, she likes to take them off and throw them. She kind of gets upset when I put the rings back on.

She doesn't much care for any of her toys - they only last 10 minutes or so with her - she'd rather pull up, cruise and explore. So I just follow her around (crawling most of the time, my poor knees!) and point out colors and items.

When it's nice out, I like to take her out as much as I can. We go to the park or we just walk around. She LOVES being outdoors - she stares at everyone and everything. With this cold weather I really don't know what to do with her indoors.

Hahaha We also do the "superman" except she is not a big fan of it.

I lie on my back with her lying on her back next to me and we talk and play with stuffed animals. I have them make sounds... she loves her monkey. lol

I try to read to her before she goes to sleep.

She loves her bouncie seat and her rings... which of course she loves to take off... I have also seen her try to put them back on, but she hasn't quite figured that out yet.

I just recently took a bath with her now that she can sit up. I like playing in the bathtub with her. She loves the water.

I sing to her to help her sleep or calm her down. Her favorite is the ABC's

I'm really not sure what else I should be doing either, that's why I was wondering what everyone else was doing.

Good thread, Toni. I always wonder this, too. We do a lot of what everyone else said they do as well. We also do peekaboo. She loves when Jeff or I will hide and pop up from either behind the bed or the island in our kitchen.

I talk with/sing to her a lot and hold her and dance with her. She loves it when Jeff and I say certain words over and over to her. For some reason she has always found the word "teeth" to be hilarious.

She has certain toys that she like and I'll play with them with her.

She loves our dogs so we will talk with them sometimes and get them to run around so she can laugh at them.
