I am currently 10 weeks 4 days pregnant and I am still so sick all the time! It isn't just morning sickness, but rather all day sickness! I have tried everything I can to help including anything and everything ginger, eating several small meals, eating crackers first thing, not brushing by teeth right after eating, sea bands, preggie pop drops....literally everything! My dr. finally prescribed me Zofran a couple weeks ago and it helps some, but sometimes I still puke even after I've taken it!

How long did morning sickness last for you? & what were some things that helped you not feel so sick?

My m/s went away around 14 weeks. For me it wasn't usually just in the mornings either, it was throughout the whole day. It never got really bad with me though (i never threw up, i just felt like it). For me eating crackers helped and always keeping something in my stomach. Hang in there! It should get better soon!

I'm sorry you are feeling so sick! I remember those days all too well. This won't be what you want to hear, but mine lasted until about 20 weeks!

One of the only things that helped me was keeping fresh cut up lemons with me. When I felt especially gaggy, I would open the container and take a big sniff of them. It sounds weird, but my doctor recommended it and it actually helped! Other than that, none of the usual remedies seemed to help me much.

Don't worry... it won't last forever even though it may feel like it right now. Hang in there!

Okay, this is going to sound counter intuitive since it isn't that healthy, but my ms hasn't been that great to me... I haven't actually thrown up, but it took a LOT of effort not to (if I hadn't learned over the years how to fight it so hard, I would have tossed my cookies quite a few times by now...)

Don't shoot me, but mine is already easing off... LOL *knock on wood!*

BUT the one thing that gets me through, when I feel like I'm 10 seconds away from losing my lunch is, believe it or not, caffiene free soda. COLA actually, not gingerale (the mere thought of which makes me want to barf) or anything else, but regular cola.

Something about it just calms my stomach completely. I went caffiene free because of the whole caffiene = bad for baby thing, but I asked my doc and he said that right now, since I've lost a few lbs due to ms, calories are calories and if drinking pop helps keep food down, then DO it! In moderation of course, but you gotta do what works.

GL sweetie, hope you feel better soon!

To be honest I tried EVERYTHING to not be sick (except a prescription) And the only thing that helped a tiny bit was ice cold ginger ale, and mandarin oranges. I didn't have "morning sickness" either, but rather 12:00pm-the rest of the day sickness. I threw up till about 14 weeks, then it was gone! Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks ladies! I'm hoping that 14 weeks will be the time for mine to stop as well! I really didn't want to have to take meds, but I was puking so much that I would become dehydrated and that is not good for baby or me, so my dr. said that would be the best thing!

Thank you all for you input and new ideas to try!!!

I was lucky and didn't really have any but when my stomach would get upset, I'd get a Sonic Oceanwater - I think the Sprite in it settle my stomach a little bit....

In Quebec they prescibe meds which was awesome because like you I had all day sickness which reminded me very much of having a gastroflu.... it lasted for me until 17 weeks then I was able to ween myself off the meds.

I remember it being really bad around 10 weeks so maybe you are just in the middle of the worst of it. Unfortunently mine last until 22-24 weeks.

Thanks girls! I know I really hate whining about feeling sick b/c I know it means that everything is doing what it's supposed to be doing in there! It's very bitter sweet ya know!

I had morning and All day sickness. Nothing helped and I mean NOTHING!! I spent most of my days in bed wanting to die. That last time I threw up was around 17 weeks. My sickness didn't go away until 20 weeks though.
