I went for my first fetal monitoring at the hospital today. Of course my BP was up and down again. It was running anywhere from the 150's to the 120's. Most of the time in the 140's. I realize this is high but it is the same thing it has been doing for the last week or so.

So for the third time in a week I had more labs done, urine tested, and was on the monitor for hours waiting for the hospital to decide whether or not to induce. Unfortunently my OB was not on call so it was someone who doesn't know me. After 5 hours and normal labs they finally let me go home back to bedrest and with a 24 our urine collection that I have to return on Monday. I am glad I didn't have to stay overnight this time. My next monitoring session is on Monday as well. The nurse laughed and told me to bring a book because she says we will probably keep doing this if my BP remains so labile.

I am just feeling frustrated that everything is coming back normal but it seems like we are going through these same things everytime I go in. I want baby Connor to be safe but also would like someone to just decide if they are going to induce or not so I can stop being admitted so often for the same thing. I am going to discuss things with my OB at my appointment on Monday.

Sorry for the rant, just feeling a little tired of this whole ordeal.

So sorry you have to keep going through this over and over again. Hope your BP stabilizes so you don't have to deal with it anymore.

I'm so sorry you have to keep dealing with all this! When I get really overwhelmed with something that seems to be happening constantly or taking forever, I try to remind myself that in the grand scheme of things, this is a such a short period in my life, and I'll get through it. Your baby will be here before you know it!

I'm so sorry - you've been going through this for a while now, I know that it has got to be getting a bit old...

Is there a reason why they dont induce you with all of the issues going on?
I mean, you are 38 weeks, which is full term...so, shouldn't baby be fine at this point??

I'm sorry Karen, that is a LOT to have to deal with. I'd be really frustrated too.

So sorry, Karen! Luckily this will all be over soon, and you'll be holding your little boy.
