Hello everyone!!! Hope everyone had a great holiday! It's back to the real world for most of us now. So I thought it would be a great time for updates!

How were the holidays? Did anyone tell the "news" over the holidays? How were the holidays for those with new babies? Anything new going on?

As for us, the holiday was great. Paige was more interested in eating the bows and paper than the actual toys, but it was fun nonetheless. Next year should be even more fun. She still has two teeth. At the last appointment the doc said that her two front top teeth were halfway down, but I haven't seen them pop through yet. She's been a bit fussy the past few days, but I think she's getting a cold. Poor baby!! However, her sleeping has been soooo much better. She's in bed by 7pm if not a bit earlier and sleeps sometimes until 7am...but mostly gets up once around 4-5am then right back down after a bottle. So I can't complain here! She's growing up so fast. She has recently started pushing herself up to her knees but it only lasts a second then she's back down. She will push herself backwards, but that's about it for now. I have mixed feelings about crawling. I want her to, but then I'm not ready for it - or my house isn't ready for it!! At last check she weighed 15lbs 13 oz that's the 45% so not too bad!!

As for me, I'm happy to report that I'm switching positions at work. For the past 3 1/2 years I've worked in our Homicide Unit handling police shootings and violent assaults, well, the stress finally got to me and I have decided to change. I will now be working in Domestic Violence! I'm excited for the change and anxious to get started. It will be the same schedule, but no on call and I will actually get along with all my co-workers which is a HUGE relief!! Sorry this ended up being so long.

Can't wait to hear about everyone else!

Here is a pic from Christmas (that's my MIL with her):

Hello ladies!

Hope everyone had a great holiday season! I'll be 25 weeks tomorrow and really really cant believe time is flying by. I guess people really do mean it when they say the second and third trimesters go back WAY faster then the first! Baby is doing well as far as i know, had some pretty active days and some pretty calm days but i'm pleased with his movement. As you all can probably tell I'm just getting my registry together for my shower which is 2/13. I'm quite excited that its coming up so soon (though REALLY dreading the shower itself, remember my anxiety issues...) because im getting very anxious to start getting everything together. I have to go do my GD test again this week and i have an appt on the 13th

And if anyone who isnt a normal journal reader of mine wants to see Christmas pictures i have some on page 7

The girls and I were all sick the past few days. I know I'm feeling much better today and they seem to be a little less cranky. Dh took care of us and I hardly did anything around the house. It almost made up for the raging sore throat I had

The girls enjoyed Christmas. They got passed around to so many people. We hosted 18 people here in addition to us. It was a crazy day, but so much fun.

Their different personalities are really starting to show now. Arya is super social. She found her super loud obnoxious whiny voice a few days ago. It's hilarious to listen to her "talk". She sounds like a wounded cat. We took video of her this weekend "talking" and our cat howling back at her. He isn't sure what to make of her new noises. I think she's gained a ton of weight since her 4 month check up. She used to look so skinny next to Eiley and now E doesn't look so big. E is my little eater/comfort nurser. Some times she doesn't even want me to talk to her while she eats She still wants to nurse every hour starting around 3:30 until she goes to bed. It may be a phase, but A stopped wanting to do that about a week ago. She'll scream bloody murder if I try to make her eat with E if she isn't ready. It'll be nice when E grows out of that. Neither is sleeping through the night. We'll have some really bad nights and then a good one. Last night each only got up twice to eat. Which is awesome. Between spit up, poop and stuffy noses I was awake more than usual, they just didn't eat each time. They also slept unswaddled last night because they both got their regular blankets dirty. We put them in sleep sacks and they were happy. They're napping unswaddled right now.

They made snow angels last week. E was ready for a nap, so wasn't as happy about them as A.

Love the pics! I had to giggle at the snow angels, Valerie. That is just too cute!

Well, I'm 18 weeks today and it's my first day back at work since the offices closed for holidays on Dec 22nd. So to say the least, I'm swamped!!! I have an appointment on Wednesday with the ob and then we will be scheduling our gender scan for later in the month! I'm hoping to get my maternity clothes I ordered from Old Navy in because about 98% of my work clothes are now too tight and I can't concentrate wearing clothes that dig into me.

My birthday is this Thursday....I'll be 29 years old! And then our anniversary is the 20th....

Everything here is going well!!! Hunter is 2 weeks old already, I can't believe how time flies

We got out of the hospital on the 23rd, so we got to be home from Christmas Eve. I got the best christmas surprise ever, my brother and his wife (who told us all that they were going to go to Cuba for christmas) showed up at the hospital the night of the 22nd It was so great. My husband knew about it for three weeks and didn't tell me, and after going though my labour it was quite an emotional moment when they walked through the door. They live in Ontario, so about a 5 hour flight away from us, it was awesome!!! The only bad part was that my poor brother caught the flu that me and dh had before we had the baby (it is what put me into labour) and so he spent christmas day in the bathroom in our basement!!!

Hunter has been such a good baby, she sleeps four hour stretches at night, getting up to feed, change a diaper and then a little cuddle before she goes back to bed, so that has been nice She is growing like a weed, gained a pound in the first week home from the hospital, which is great!! She gained back her birth weight plus some

I'm 8 weeks, LOL I feel like I'm just getting started compared to you girls! Bought maternity pants yesterday, the bloat had kicked in hardcore and I couldn't sit and eat at the same time anymore LOL...

First prenatal went OK, all normal, first u/s will probably be around 14-16 weeks so I have another couple of months to wait, but apparently thats normal in Canada.I might tell them just to delay it until 20 weeks so I can find out the gender and see the h/b all in one visit LOL

Other than that, just trying to eat, trying to poop, trying not to pee - all that fun early pregnancy stuff LOL

Cutest pictures ever BTW, I love reading the updates!

Love these updates!!

I'm doing pretty good.. Savannah passes all her NSTs and AFIs.. my blood sugars and labs have been perfect.. My BP gets high but usually comes down some by the end of my appt. I have an OB appt tomorrow - I'm hoping to find out what they plan on doing with me then.. I'm hoping they won't induce until 39 weeks (Jan 15th) but I'm not sure since my BP has been getting high pretty frequently. I keep a close eye on it at home.

OMG I was in so much pain this morning - I would have definitely thought I was having real contractions if they weren't all on one side! Turns out that she decided to switch sides again and is now back to hanging out on the left (still head down).. It's unreal how much a 7 pound baby can hurt when they decide to switch like that. ouch!

I love the pics of all those babies! So cute!

As for me most of you know I failed my 1 hour glucose test. My 3 hour test will be on Monday. Baby has been super active lately and has decided that he/she likes to be under my right rib. It's so neat actually feeling with my hand where the baby is. We are half-way through painting the nursery right now and are waiting for the furniture (which I ordered today) to come in. We already have all the bedding and everything. All the baby clothes I have received, along with the cloth diapers and bedding have been washed and organized which is a huge relief.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

I too LOVE reading these updates! Glad everyone is doing well! My DD is in 2 days!! My BP was up last week, got sent to L&D to be monitored and to have labs done. Everything looked great and BP went back down. They wanted me to have it checked again today and it was back up (but went down a bit at the end of the apt) My cervix is soft but I'm not dialated at all...BOO! Baby Camden is doing wonderfully, and is very comfy apparently. They checked the fluid around him, and measured him and all looks perfect! Since my BP is fluxuating, they mentioned wanting to induce me at 41 weeks. I REALLY don't want to do that and am hoping to go on my own sometime this week. As long as Camden & I are both healthy, I want to go as long as possible without having to be induced. They want to see me again this Thursday, and I will discuss the options with my Dr. I am retaining water like a camel. I gained 8 lbs in a week (all water) and my feet and ankles are SO swollen it's crazy. Please send me lots of natural labor

I too love hearing and reading about how everyone is doing!

We are doing good, my little boy is 1 month old tomorrow time is flying. Baby has been a lot more fussy/cranky lately and that makes it hard. Not sure why he is like that all of a sudden. He is bf really well and DH tried giving him a bottle last night, he took about 1/2 an ounce and was crying most of the time. So we will try again tomorrow and see how it goes, maybe a different bottle. Any suggestions? He had his first bath last week too, he really liked it! He was screaming during his sponge baths.

Otherwise I fall in love more and more with this little boy, he is really trying to hold his head up and liking tummy time more! He goes for his one month appt Wed, I can't wait to see how he is growing!!

Great updates and pictures, everyone! Your LOs are all soooo cute!

Anyway, just playing the waiting game here. Am 39 weeks today, and as of my OB appointment last Tuesday, was still only at a fingertip dilated and 20% effaced. Been like that for weeks now, and baby has not dropped AT ALL. So I'm with Andrea on the requesting-natural-labor vibes, since I really really want to avoid being induced if at all possible. Overall feeling ok, sleeping can be rough and I am definitely tired, but have had no complications and next to no swelling, so I really can't complain. It is FREEZING here so I'm hoping baby comes soon so I have an excuse to hunker down and stay home for the rest of the winter, like a big mama bear

Oh, and here are some shots from my 37 week maternity photo shoot:

I love all the pictures...

I am 18 weeks in three days...

I am still waiting for constant movement from baby...I think I feel things, but it is just speculation at this point. I get the gender ultrasound in three weeks...and I can't wait...if I can get some baby moving vibes...that would be great...I really want to feel my baby moving so I can feel more secure.

I love these too - we need to make sure to do them every week

Gwen - Congrats on the new position, and that little dress is even cuter on her than it was in the picture from a few weeks ago, so cute

Val-those are so funny, you can just see the personality...

I still cant believe how fast those babies grow, good grief - Jodi, I cant believe that he is already trying to hold up his head - WOW!!

As for me, I had a OB appointment today:
I passed my 1 hour Glucose - got a 114 (which is apparently good)
Also passed my iron test so

Bad is that I gained 8 - as in EIGHT - as in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (OMG!) - POUNDS in the last five weeks...gaack!! That was a shock...am trying to convince myself that it was just cause I was wearing 2 jackets when I got weighed...but still - OMG!!

Am measuring 29.5, even though I'm 31 weeks, but she didn't seem too concerned, and the h/b was good, and he even had an acceleration while I was there, so she said that was good also...

I am finally starting my 2 week appointments, which I know will fly by, and I have 3 of those and then it is 1 week appointments - I'm, still in shock at how soon this is actually happening!!

Kaiden has starting kicking so much more - just like Casey, he is really into kicking me in the right rib lately - I had to manually push him out of my rib yesterday cause it was a bit much - LOL!! Silly baby...

all in all, everything is great...just gonna try to eat a bit less for the next 9 weeks

I am 38 weeks today and wanting those labor vibes too. I would love to do it on my own and not need to be induced. On Saturday I was only a fingertip dilated and 25% effaced so I still have a long ways to go. My cervix was really soft though. We are waiting for a favorable cervix before inducing but it could be any day now.

Here is a pic we took on New Year's Day

Since I am on bedrest, DH has been what we are calling "man nesting". He's organizing things and getting things in the house and garage organized. We bought a fixer upper in June so we still had alot of organizing to do. I've never seen a man so excited for a baby before!

The nursery is pretty much done. My sister is painting on the wall above the crib and isn't quite done, but here are the pics of the nearly finished nursery.

Love all the updates! The babies are all growing so fast. And I can't believe how close some of the preggos are. It seems like just yesterday many of you joined us on the Grads board. Time flies!

Brady is doing well. The only thing he's not doing so great at is sleeping! He's back to sleeping like a newborn in the night... getting up every 2 hours or more to BF. Makes for a loooooooooong night on my end. Other than that, we are really enjoying watching him learn and grow. He is finally starting to grow some more hair. Maybe he won't be bald forever! Here's some recent pics:

My niece and nephew called him Brady Claus!

I'm so glad to hear that everyone is doing so well! And I'm loving all the pics! All the babies are just so cute and growing so quickly!

As for me, I'm 11 weeks 1 day! I had an appointment today and got to hear the hb on the doppler, which was such an amazing experience! It was seriously the best sound I've ever heard! It was 160 bpm! We also scheduled our gender scan for February 24th, so we are really looking forward to that! It really isn't too far away and I'm praying that the time will go by quickly! We are taking the whole day off work that day so that we can go buy stuff, so we are looking forward to that too!
Oh, and I've definitely popped some, so I actually look pregnant now! I'm really excited to be showing and can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going by! It is so hard to believe we are only a few weeks away from the 2nd trimester!

Such adorable pictures! I am 16 weeks on Friday, then we're going in for a u/s on Saturday to see what we can see in baby's nether regions, and I have some sort of blood draw tomorrow. I am off track until January 25th, so just hanging out at home enjoying my Christmas present (I got a new oven/range! It's so awesome!)
