But was wondering how you change your name? I would like to drop the "P" on mine, do I need to make a request to someone or is it something I can do myself?

NP. Just go into User CP at the top and on the left hand side there will be a column that says....edit password, username, and something else (I forgot). Just click on that and you will have to enter your password at the top and then in one of the boxes listed it will let you change it.
