I just went number 2...and I wiped...and there was definite red on the TP...first time I have had any red on the TP this pregnancy, and I'm freaking out. Please tell me this is sometimes normal...please tell me that everything is going to be all right??!! Is it...I don't have an appointment for another two weeks, and just when I was starting to get comfortable about telling people and how good things were going...I get red.

Oh sweetie.. I'm sorry this is happening... sometime when I go #2, I get spotting on the TP cuz I strained really hard and cause some tear on my "hole". I hope it's nothing serious.
As long as you are not cramping.... are you spotting again at this moment?

I just went pee...no red...it did sting when I went number two so maybe it was just because of that...I'm just so nervous now..it's late here...so I'm going to try to go to sleep...I am just going to pray that everything is ok...I just don't know what to think...I haven't really started feeling baby, so I can't use that as an indicator...(I think I have felt her, but I'm not 100 % sure)...it's times like this I wish I had a doppler.

it has happened to me twice, it freaked the **** out of me cause firs thing you think, is always the worse, and it brought back the feelings /memories when I first had my miscarriage.
It was only two spots the 1st time i seen it, and i kept checking regularly during the day and nothing else showed so i let it go, but it happened again a few weeks later. its normal to be spotting, but like you said you were doing #2, so was i, so I am just chaulking it up to it being from the #2 area... I didnt feel him so much at 17-18 weeks so don't worry!!.. you will eventusually feel fluttering feelings, or different kind of feelings at times in your tummy, everyone had different feelings of movement as I didnt experience the flutter part, i had a completely different feeling!!... I am 26 weeks tomorrow, and I am feeling him Kick all the time!!.. it is such a comforting thing to have happen to know, he is in there.. lol .. You found out what it was after?? ( i noticed you called the june bug, she )

I had this happen once and it completely freaked me out. Hope that was the first and last time that happens Marci. I didn't start feeling good movement until about 20-22 weeks. I never felt the fluttery feeling, just went straight to little tiny kicks.

Marci - it sounds like it may just be constipation causing it. I've read that it's very common in pregnancy, and although I don't know from my own experience, I know that I've had red from being constipated. I hope everything is okay!

It could also be a hemorhoid. They are very common during pregnancy especially if you've had problems with constipation. And you'll get that burning feeling you described. I know you must be feeling scared, but just keep an eye on it I'm, sure everything is fine.
BTW: I didn't feel consistant movement until after 20 weeks, so don't worry if your not feeling too much movement.

Yep I get it from #2 from time to time. Constipation makes hard stools which can irritate things there. Usually just to make sure I'll check CM to make sure its not coming from that area. I hope you're feeling better today!

Carla - that's a good idea, I never thought of checking that...I will do that IF there is a next time.
I went #2 again this time...hurt like a son of a gun, and just a little pink...was very careful to make sure I was wiping one place at a time, to try and determine where it was coming from, and it was coming from the back...99.9% sure...sorry to worry everyone...I'm feeling better about it today...it's just the first time I have had bleeding this pregnancy, and it didn't turn out well for me last time...so I panicked!! Thanks girls for all your comments, it definitely makes me feel better that it does seem to be normal during pregnancy...I get mad at my body for worrying me. I guess I have to try more liquids and more fibre.

I am just glad you were reassured it was coming from the back. I know how scary that must have been though, but glad its nothing (well real serious!).

I'm glad you were able to see where it was coming from. You poor thing, you've done more worrying in your pregnancy than anyone should go through! HUGS!

sounds like either micro tears in your colon due to constipation, or the beginning of a hemorrhoid - both VERY common in pregnancy, unfortunately

I would say it's probably an internal hemorrhoid. The more pressure on the rectum, the more prone you are. My Dr. said it's almost unheard of for a pregnant woman to not have to deal with them. Try not to stress too much chica!
