Were any of you ladies still breech at 31 weeks? At my appointment today I was surprised to find out baby was breech. The doctor said we would keep an eye on it. I'm worried that he won't turn as he is probably running out of room in there. I'm strongly opposed to external cephalic version. Just wondering if you ladies had any experience with this and your baby ended up turning head down?

My baby was back down transverse (the hardest position to move from) until 36 1/2 weeks when he turned head down. Don't worry, you still have plenty of time for him to move. Baby's can turn right up until they are ready to deliver!

Haven't seen you around here forever!

I've heard that you should still be ok for a few more weeks, but dont know much more than that...good luck either way!!

I had a 3-D U/S at 27weeks (not with an OB), but other than that, I have no idea what baby is doing at this point, don't think my OB does either...did you have an U/S to determine position?

Thanks for your input ladies! I guess he does have quite a few weeks to manuever his way into the correct position

Tonya - I haven't been around all that much, I do read a lot of the journals, including yours, but feel apprehensive about posting. Without a siggy I feel like no one knows me "personally"...I don't know how to explain it. I will forsurely get one after baby Jack is born. Anyways, my doctor was really feeling around with his hands for the position of baby, and said "you've got yourself a breech baby". I didn't ask too many questions. I'm one of those people that leaves the room and am like, why didn't I ask more about that?

You still have plenty of time for baby to flip. The hospital did an ultrasound the day I have my girls to check if they'd flipped since it was still possible with twins at almost 37 weeks. There are different ways to sit and stretch that can help baby get in the right position. You can also try a chiropractor who is trained in the Webster Technique. I went to a chiropractor and while Baby B didn't flip, the chiropractor visits felt awesome and gave her plenty of room to turn if she'd wanted to.

Mine was breech at that point, but he stayed that way until 38w 2d when I delivered via c-section. I know some people have had success following the tips on About Spinning Babies. Good luck!

Haylea flipped at 32 weeks. I was sure she wouldn't either. I spent a lot of time on my knees leaning over on our ottoman or on my yoga ball.

Gage was breech up until about 38 wks. The doctor first told me that when I was in his office at 36 wks and said if he didn't flip by my next appt he would schedule me for an aversion to try to flip him. I was scared about that and did all of the spinning techniques I could find on the internet and luckily when I went in at 38 wks for the u/s they said he'd flipped.
