I went for my twice weekly NST and AFI today and of course Connor did great. He always moves a tons and passes very easily. While I was there I stated having tons of regular contractions that looked great on the monitor and I was feeling pretty strong.

After my appointment I had a regular OB appointment to get checked. Looks like those contractions were working and I have made lots of progress My cervix is ready to go! The bad news is Connor is still so high and hasn't dropped at all. My OB doesn't know why he isn't dropping. But, because of my heart rate and BP issues he isn't comfortable letting me go much longer. So I have an induction scheduled for Saturday!!!!

He has to get some things set up with the hospital. He wants continuous cardiac monitoring throughout labor which OB doesn't really do, so he may have an ICU nurse come and monitor during the labor process. He also needs to talk with the cardiologist about options and the anesthesiologist to see if I need to meet with him for an exam before beginning the induction.

I feel really comfortable with my OB being so careful to make sure this is a safe delivery. And I'm happy about him still letting me try for a vag birth. But, I understand that a c-section is also likely depending on how I tolerate everything.

I'm just happy to have an end to this bed rest in sight and am excited to meet my baby boy!

I bet it feels wonderful to have a definite end in sight! Saturday will be here *really* soon - and who knows maybe you'll go into labor before then on your own!

I'm also really happy that your OB is being so cautious with everything - he sounds just wonderful.
