Does anyone know when my steri strip will fall off or if i can go ahead and pull it the rest of the way off at this point without damaging anything? Its been 12 days since my section and either sides of the tape is pulling off but the middle is still stuck on there... i have to call the doctor later anyway but i figured i'de ask here in the meantime

I was told to not pull it off and to let it fall off on it's own. I had to go in for a 2 week check up and she removed it then. So my advice is to NOT pull it off and wati for the doc. I know it's a pain in the butt!!

My doctor told me to pull them off. I think I did it at a week, but can't remember. My scar looks amazing, so it didn't hurt me, but I'd check with your doctor.

I pulled mine off at two weeks past my csection. I don't have a doctors appointment until 6 weeks pp (which is Feb 2) so they told me at the hospital that they would fall off within 10-14 days, so after the 14 days I just pulled them off when I was having a shower (the water makes them easier to pull off in my opinion!!!)

If you are calling your doctor then I would ask him then!!! Otherwise I think it would be fine to take them off.

If all else fails you can cut off the ends that are falling off maybe? I'm not sure what it is, but I'm assuming it's like the tape they use to protect stitches...at least that way, the ends won't be getting in your way, and it will keep you from pulling it off further.
