Hi everyone!

I'm not a grad yet... but this is a question for the grads who have either given birth or know the gender of their baby.

For how many of you who know the gender of your baby(ies) was this site correct?
Ancient Chinese Gender Predictor

That site uses the standard "ancient Chinese gender chart" but makes it a lot easier by asking you just to fill in your actual birthday and conception date, then it does the math for you to figure out what your Chinese birth date and Chinese conception date was (lunar calendar).

I'm curious how accurate the Chinese gender chart really is, especially when used correctly (lunar dates). On one hand, I always thought it was pretty cool that it seemed to be fairly accurate.. On the other hand.. right about now I'd LOVE to hear of times it was wrong! DH and I really want to have a girl first and if we get pg this cycle, this chart says it'll be a boy. Don't get me wrong - we'll be happy with a baby in general, no matter which gender.. but I've honestly felt I'd have a girl ever since I first decided I would have kids (which was only around 7 years ago or so) and since we may only have one child, I'm kind of really hopeful.

I think with that you had to add a year to your actual age (I have no idea how it works but that's what I heard) and when I did that it came up girl. And I had a girl. Without adding the year it said boy.

Yay! You guys give me hope. With that particular version you do just use your actual birth year (no need to figure out any lunar years or anything) and conception date. Most of the people I know who check (or I check) it's right.. except for my mother-in-law.. she was predicted to have a girl (and only had the one child) so good for me that it was a boy!

So we have a chance at a girl no matter what it says, yay!

The site you posted said girl for me and I'm having a girl. But I've found two other charts on the web where you just look at the charts and those were both wrong for me. They both said boy. Although I'm sure those were wrong from not calculating lunar age and such. I think its fun and does seem to be right alot of the times, but really it's a 50/50 chance either way! Best of luck to you!
