I haven't stopped by here in a while. Welcome to all the new babies & congrats on the new grads!

My mom came to visit from NC for a few days & Allie had her surgery for the tubes...all last week. So needless to say I was running around a lot.

All went well with the surgery. Allie was a champ but mommy & daddy not so much! I walked her into the OR & stroked her head until she was under which was probably the singlemost heartbreaking experience..watching your child on the OR table She was mad as he** after the surgery was over, but I was warned that was a common reaction in babies after having anesthesia. We were there 3 hours total. She came home, took a 3 hour nap, & woke up like nothing happened We had a post op at the ENT & they said her ears look great & the tubes are open & functioning so that's great news for us!

She also had her 9 month well visit (5 weeks late...doh!) & she's now 19.12 lbs & 28". She also cut 3 more teeth all at once so that brings the grand total to 4 so far. She's been a busy lady. LOL

We also just booked a restaurant for her FIRST (yikes...already?!?!) birthday. We're having it March 20th & we're doing a cupcake theme. I can't wait...but not really. Very bittersweet!

Here are some recent pictures
These are actually the day after her surgery...like nothing had happened

Pasta, meatballs, & garlic bread for the first time... who needs baby food?

She's such a cutie! I'm glad the surgery went well and she's doing better now. I can definitely see how it would be harder for a parent to go through.

There you are!!! I've seen you here and there on FB but not here. Figured you were busy!! Poor Allie! I'm so glad it went well (as well as can be expected) and she's ok now. I seriously would have been a wreck!! Like the others, I can't even watch Paige get shots much less surgery! UGH, how scary! Gooooo Allie on 3 teeth!! I can't see the pics, but I know she's a doll! Saw some on FB anyway! We missed you around here!! Glad all is well!

I stalk you in the DDC too, but wanted to say again I'm so glad the surgery went well!

By the way, once in a while Addison will look at me with a face that totally reminds me of Allie! Which is great because Allie is obviously totally adorable!

So happy to hear from you. I am so glad that Allie's surgery went well. I can't imagine how difficult that was for you.
Allie is adorable! It's hard to believe she is almost a year old already. Time sure flies!

Thanks everyone!
Looks like she's going to cut some more teeth...her back & side gums seem to be giving her a lot of trouble. She gnaws on everything she can get her hands on & is a cranky Drool Monster again. Sleep has been all but nonexistent. Teething is NO fun!

Christine, that's adorable! Awww
