i posted this in the oct pr but im going to ask you all about it since most of you all have older babes.

jayla use to sleep through the night from about 7/8-7/8. it was great. ocassionaly she would wake up anywhere from 4-6 and i would ust have to put the binky back in and she was out again..

well for the past 3-4 weeks she has been sleeping terrible!!! she is up like3 times each night for sometimes up to two hours.

did anyone else have this issue around 3/4 months? and if so is it better and how long did it last??

we are so frustrated and exhausted with her. dont get me wrong. i lvoe her to death..i just want her old sleep habits back!

YEP!!! I think a lot of people (including me) went through the 4 month sleep regression. I don't remeber ours lasting that long so hopefully it won't last long for you either. Sometimes they do that before a big milestone too. So maybe she's gonna roll or something!?! Is she nursing when she gets up too? She could be going through a growth spurt too?! Sorry hun! It will get better but be thankful that she's such a great sleeper already. Some girls have babies almost a year that don't sleep that good!!!

well she is getting so close to rolling over! she gets to her side and tries so hard to push over. she just hasnt figured it out quite yet. ive never heard about the milestone thing before. thats interesting!

we are FF and im trying not to feed her if at all possible since she never used to eat at those times before...but if nothing calms her down we will feed her. sometimes we also just let her cry and she will fall back asleep.

the more i read on-line it looks like a lot of people go though this around this age so im hoping its just a phase and shes back to her normal self!

Siera slept horribly during her growth spurts and now she's sleeping horribly due to teething. She'll STTN but it's becoming a challenge to even get her to sleep to begin with. I hope it passes soon

Yeah, it seems to be a very common problem at that age. Cherie's sleep was screwy for about 2 months starting around 3 1/2 months. And when she's about to hit a milestone her sleep is awful! I also wouldn't discount hunger in the middle of the night. Just because she's on formula doesn't mean her growing body doesn't need nutrition through the night.

I agree with the other ladies. The milestones & growth spurts always interupted Allie's sleep. That being said, my child only STTN for a 2 week period when I went back to work at 3 months. If she is going through a growth spurt, she'll be hungrier (and crankier) than usual so you should definitely offer her the formula.
Good luck & I hope things get better for you soon!

Ana slept really well till 4 months, she still woke once at 6 months, but it was a 5 minute nurse and back off to sleep. She sleeps awfully when she is teething (which started at 4 months) and during growth spurts. I hope it passes soon, even if she just has you up once!

Gage was never a good sleeper and just started sleeping through the night a couple months ago. However, I know at 4 months it was awful and I would contribute it to either a growth spurt, hunger or teething. Have you checked her gums yet? Gage got two teeth at 4 months.

yea we have checked her gums..i dont think i feel anything...im afraid to post this caus i dont wanna jinx this....but for the past 5 days or so shes been doin GREAT!

i tried tylenol one night when she woke up at 11 and wouldnt go back to sleep. she slept til 6. then the next night same thing..and the past 3/4 nights after ive laid her down she has slept 10+ hours straight, without the tylenol!

im really hoping she sticks with it.

i think something that really really helped is i decided to try the ferberize method..i was already pretty much doing it but the only difference is i was rocking her to sleep, and they say to lay them down drowsy, BUT AWAKE. and then if they cry let them for 5 min. then increase each time and increase each night. it only took about 2 night of any crying and the other night after that shes put herself to sleep with no fuss. and since we've started (like 5 or so days ago) that she's been putting herself to sleep and sleeping through. i really hope that was the cure.
