Shhh...don't tell anyone but I actually inherited a crafty gene from my mom! I usually don't put it to good use, but after not finding exactly what I wanted for her room I decided to get crafty! I really wanted her wall letters to sparkle and I found some online for like $30 per letter!  So I figured a little paint, craft glue and some glitter and I could do it myself! So I thought I'd share! I was really happy how it came out and it was pretty easy too!

I also made her a ballerina bow holder. I wanted to incorporate a few ballerina things into her room (but not too much like a theme or anything) and came across a pic online of this and it was just toooooo cute so I had to try it. I really had no idea how I was going to pull this one off, so I'm really happy with how it turned out! It was pretty time consuming, but well worth it!
Now if I could just get them on the walls we'll be set!

CUTE!!! What did you make your bow holder out of?
I have made a LOT of letters here lately. I have a set going for Liss right now. It is fun and definitely something that takes your mind off of other things!

The bodice part is actually just a foam posterboard that I cut out. (That was a pain, but easier than trying to cut something else!) Then I bought the fabric and put some batting between the fabric and board and attached it to the foam board. The "tutu" part was done with the fabric cut into 6" wide strips and tied around a piece of ribbon. Then I was able to attached the ribbon to the foam board as well. Add some ribbons and bows and poof you're done! Okay it was a tad more complicated actually doing it, but more just time consuming than hard. It definitely is fun to keep occupied! DH has been working ALOT lately and with no school and working 3 12 hour days, I have alot of free time on my hands now!  So these little projects have been a lifesaver! Thanks for the compliments ladies!

Very cute. I painted my own wall letters too because the ones online are expensive sand I wanted them to match the bedding. It's amazing how good home made letters can look. You did a great job.
