Today I had my OB appointment and growth u/s. It was such a great appointment. The baby's face is pointed to my back so we didn't get to see his/her face. It was really hard to see much but they measured the head and abdomen plus did the biophysical profile. The baby is measuring at exactly 6lbs! I'm so relieved because at first the tech said the baby was measuring big, which I was afraid was going to happen, but since the baby was so active and moved around a lot she was able to get a more accurate measurement. The OB estimated that the baby will be in the low to mid 7lbs range. Baby scored an 8/8 on the biophysical profile. It was really neat to see him/her doing practice breathing. The baby already has hair which is the only cool pic we have. I'll post that later. My cervix is still closed, baby has not dropped at all (guess I was wrong) which I was a little disappointed, but as long as baby is healthy that's all that matters.

Glad baby isn't AS big as you thought, but s/he is very healthy! I cant wait to see the pic with the hair...how cool!!!

yay for a good appt!! Glad the baby is measuring a great size no worries about him/her dropping yet...you still have plenty of time for that!! I've heard women say their baby didn't engage until the day of labor! It'll happen
