Here is a thread from the TTWMA board that has some information posted by some of the ladies active there.

I have a fishoil tablet that contains DHA but I haven't been good at taking them.

I take this one:
Pharmacist's Support Prenatal Plus DHA | Walgreens

It is the generic of One-a-Day Women's Prenatal...
It is actually 2 pills...
One is the prenatal, and one is the DHA...
The DHA one is algae based - not fish based - so it is mercury-free...

I liked it, and it really isn't that expensive...but my DR didn't say much about benefits of DHA when I asked about it early on...

I take a mercury-free fish oil/DHA pill every day - supposed to be good for baby brain development

I took it all through pregnancy and will continue as long as I'm BFing. Research shows it can be really good for baby.

I actually researched this one a lot... studies are pretty clear that it really positively impacts baby's brain development, and I take it now and will continue to take it throughout pregnancy (if I ever get there).

My living proof- the little guy I nanny for is 23 months old and his mom took DHA every day of her pregnancy... right now he can sing at least 15 songs by heart, is speaking in 3-4 word sentences, can count to ten, and recognizes and can name all 26 letters of the alphabet, even out of order. Extremely impressive, in my (biased ) opinion...

My DR told me I needed to take it for the development of the baby, so I did/am. I am taking this one:

Buy Expecta Lipil Dha Supplement Softgels online at CVS.com

I've never heard of them being made from algae instead of fish... Is it somehow better? I guess i always figured they wouldn't put it in a prenatal if it wasn't okay but now i'm wondering if i shouldn't switch.
