The lifting with hands over your head is a good one. I do that a lot at my job. I don't lift anything over 10 lbs. (generally) since my MC I have been very nervous about doing anything more, but I don't think that is generally a rule. People had said to me that my body would probably let me know when something is too heavy. But I am interested in the hands over the head thing.

Thanks for your responses ladies! I was freaking out because I had to lift a desk (small student desk) today and I lifted it up over the other desks in my classroom! I feel fine, but was worried that I might have hurt Fisher after the fact!
I feel better knowing that ya'll have to lift things on a regular basis and are doing just fine!

I was told that if you can lift it with one hand, you can lift it while preggers - so that is the guideline I've been using

I was told that you shouldn't start anything new while you are prego, but if you lifted weights before pregnancy or ran before pregnancy then it was fine. I know there are some questions about whether you should lay flat to do exercises.
