I have, but i'm probably over paranoid about Michaels immune system and sensitive skin... my step daughter has sensitive skin also so i just figured better safe then sorry and to wash everything in Dreft (we have to use Dreft for her).

I washed everything too. Some of the clothes have chemical and things on them from manifactoring. I never wash my clothes before I wear them but figured better safe than sorry with the baby.
I only washed the clothes that are up to 3 months and then will wash the next sizes up when he gets closer to wearing them. That way they don't collect dust before I put him in them.

I have washed everything as well I just figured that it would be good to do it all and not worry about him breaking out.

I am not going to wash everything before the baby comes. Simply because some of the newborn sizes MAY not fit her, you know? I have washed my swaddles, blankets, and onesies (sizes 0-3, 3-6). I will wash some newborn stuff, but not all of it, especially those that I still have the tags on them. Now, if they are hand-me-downs or I have already taken the tag off, I will wash them. I have kept all my receipts for everything I have purchased for her and what my mom has purchased for her. Hopefully, if she doesn't fit into something, I can return it if I haven't washed it.
But I will wash anything I plan to put on her though.

New stuff I can see washing, but I got a lot of hand me downs...and they were washed prior to giving them to me. Would you still wash them yourselves for your own peice of mind?

I would just because you don't know how long they were sitting or what/who touched them since they were last washed. Plus, like you said, its a piece of mind.

I washed everything before she wore it.
I didn't wash EVERYTHING as I wasn't sure of sizes but I did wash things before she wore them if that makes sense.

Just wanted to ditto what the other girls have said. I washed about 1/2 of what we had in each size as Brady fit into them. The reason I left tags on the other 1/2 is because we had so much. In fact, we never even used a lot of them so they are stored for the next baby boy.
Twice when I was in a hurry, I put something on him without washing it first. Both times he got a little rash. So if your baby has sensitive skin, that could happen too.

Thanks girls...Once it gets closer, the stuff that I have in the closet and dresser I will have to wash...no point in washing it now, as it will probably get dusty between now and when baby comes.

I had some horrible nesting-ness this weekend and washed the onsies we had and the blankets. I just couldn't wait. They are all neatly folded in her dresser.

I washed absolutely everything... but when I got him new outfits once he was a little older, I've put them on him without washing them and he's been fine.
I also wash his stuff now with our regular detergent (gain). I was VERY allergic to Dreft so we couldn't use it and he does fine. I think it just depends on the baby and how sensitive their skin is and you won't know until he's here!!
