Yea, so I had my 40 week appointment today, nothing new to report, but finally they were willing to help me get stuff moving along (that and the fact that this baby's head is about ready to break my pelvis - OMG!)...so anyway...

Blood pressure is fine, weight is fine, pee is fine...
DR was very surprised to see me, she didn't think that I'd still be PG at this point (me neither)...anyway, did an internal - I'm at 3cm and 90% effaced...pretty much what I've been at for the last 3 weeks (DR doesn't think that I'm going to do much more before real labor)...she also stripped my membranes...it didn't hurt hardly at all which was nice...she had a hard time stripping them cause my water is right there and she thought that she was going to accidentally break my water, so she was in there for a while...and she said that if it was going to work (to jump start labor), we'd know within 24-48 hours...yea...

Scheduled another appointment for Monday afternoon, she'll strip the membranes again, and if that doesn't work, then we will schedule an induction for 41 weeks (I'm totally fine with this)...

Then, I went to the mall, and walked - did 5 laps of the mall (which is right around 5 miles total)...was very excited to be getting little cramps...but, then I sat down, and no cramps at all (bummer)...

LOL, so I have a very stubborn child in there - DR says that he is practically defying gravity at this point, so I'm gonna take a nap and hope that this weekend is it...

Hope you dont have to wait much longer, boys are stubborn!!! all my lo needed was an induction date and he came 2 days later, hope it works for you

I hope it happens soon! I didn't make much progress before going into labor either - totally discouraging. I ended up going into labor a day and a half after having my membranes stripped for the 2nd time. I was 40 weeks and 4 days when I went into labor.

Hope that stripping your membranes helps. Sounds like Kaiden just wants mommy all to himself for a bit longer. Hope you have an extra special weekend

Hope the stripping of the membranes works!!!! If not, 1 week left AT MOST!!! I guess I'm not the only one with a stubborn little boy who wanted to stay put!
