I was 1cm dilated from like 38 weeks. At my 40 week appt I was still 1 cm dilated, so yeah I was losing hope of going into labor on my own - that was on Monday. My doctor said to come in Thursday night to start my induction. However, Tuesday night I went into labor on my own and by Wednesday afternoon I was in active labor. It can happen REALLY fast so don't lose hope!
