This will be pretty short since I'm typing from my iPhone, but I had my 34 week appt today and she sent me over to L&D from the office. Basically I woke up this morning just feeling icky and off. My little sis had a stomach thing over the weekend so I thought I was just catching what she had. Then a couple hours before my appt I started getting bad stomach cramps (like how it feels just before you get diarrhea) pretty consistently, which I thought was the stomach thing, but the diarrhea never came. So I drank two big glasses of water and layed on my left side until appt time. It didn't ease up any. So when I get to the dr's office I tell her what's going on. She checks me and I'm still closed but 60% effaced, soft, and her head is right there pressing on the cervix. She did the FFN (?!) test to see if I'd go into labor the next two weeks so we're waiting for those results, either tonight or in the morning. So now I'm laying here just playing the wait and see game. They ran some bloodwork and hooked me up to an IV to hydrate me in case it is a stomach thing. The nurse says I look well hydrated though looking at my veins and urine. I've been hooked up to the monitor for about an hour and 10 mins and have had 23 contractions.  I'll try to update when I get any news but let's hope this little girl stays put a bit longer. Impatient just like her daddy!
**UPDATE**
They are keeping me overnight. No such luck on the stomach bug, I was having strong, regular contractions. Holy moly it was painful! They did start coming from the back and raidiating to the front. At about 5:20 pm they came in and gave me demerol and phenergan. The contractions were getting close and strong (I got admitted at about 3:15 pm) Then a little while later they gave me the terbutaline shot to stop the contractions. I was supposed to get 3 shots of that 20 minutes apart then start an oral dose every 4 hours, but after the first shot my BP and pulse skyrocketed and wouldn't come back down. So now I'm just taking the oral dose every 4 hours. So far its doing its job and I've been contraction free for the most part (I believe, the demerol knocked me out!) So they are going to keep me overnight and monitor me. I'm so glad I had a dr's appt today! After my last experience in L&D I certainly would NOT have gone to L&D thinking it was just a stomach bug and I'd be fine. Good thing it happened today! I won't see my dr again until the morning, but hopefully they get this under control and I can go home tomorrow! Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers! We need her to stay put just a bit longer!

I'm glad the contractions have let up for the most part. Hopefully your baby girl will keep baking for awhile and you'll be back at home soon! I'll be thinking of you!
