So I sit here 4 days overdue convinced that I will not go into labor on my own...my cervix is TOO competent!  If I don't go in on my own, I will be induced either this Friday or Monday. I guess we'll see, I just really want to experience contractions at home and be like "this is it, let's time them!" Oh well, whatever happens is how it's supposed to happen. Sorry for my whine!
*Update* - Had my 41 week appointment today. Baby hadn't been moving too much since breakfast and so my doctor sent me for a NST, which turned out just fine after I had a glass of orange juice. I have my induction scheduled for this coming Monday at 7:45am. So looks like there is an end to this if baby doesn't come on his own this weekend! Apparently, my doctor couldn't even check to see how far dilated I am because my cervix is so far pointed towards my back, we're hoping I don't need a c-section.
*Update #2* - Tomorrow's Monday, which means I will be induced tomorrow morning unless I miraculously go into labor my own today (very doubtful!). Thought I'd share a pic of me at 41 weeks! I'm unsure if our hospital has the internet, if not, I will update when we come home with baby

I can totally relate since I went overdue as well (by 4 days actually). Are you walking? DH and I went for 2-3 mile walk once I hit 37 weeks. I also bounced on an exercise ball from 39 weeks on. Hmm what else, DTD can help.
Going overdue is no fun, maybe now that you will be induced your lo will come on his own! Good luck.

I too can relate. I was 4 days overdue when I finally went into labor - it started in the evening on a Tuesday night and I thought it was just BHs again. By 3am on Wednesday morning I figured out it was the real thing though. Who knows maybe you will go into labor later today!!!!

Ahh that sucks hun... Go jump hubby, then go for a long walk while eating a burrito with extra hot sauce, bounce on an exercise ball on the way home and then DTD again while eating another burrito. Maybe that'll help? If not, at least DH and the neighbors will get a laugh! LOL

My mom went 2 weeks overdue WITH ME. I was supposed to be born end of March/early April but I ended up being born April 16.
Hope you go in early labor instead of being induced! Hang in there girlie!

Thanks everyone! I'm trying to be patient, but I'm such a scheduled type of person, this waiting game is too much for me! On a positive note, I do have a cold, so maybe baby is waiting for me to feel a bit better first!
I'm keeping myself busy though, so it's not too bad. I'm planning on making a spicy fajita stirfry for supper and if nothing else, it'll just give me heartburn! As for DTD, that has been out of the question for the most part during my pregnancy, and especially now that the head is so low, my DH thinks it's too weird to even go that route to possibly induce labor (truth is, I do too!)
I'll keep you all posted!

I had to be induced at 41 weeks so I know how you feel! Just know it won't be much longer!!! Labor

I was late too and had to be induced! The end waiting is the worst. Especially when you feel like you're going to be pregnant FOREVER. But, then before you know it, you LO is here and it's all over and you kind of miss it LOL.
Hope you go into labor soon.

Hopefully having an induction date set will get your little one into gear! But if not at least there is an end in sight! Hopefully it doesn't require c-section, but any way the most important thing is the end result, a beautiful baby!
