So, since I haven't begun to leak Colostrom yet...and I'm super nervous about me not being able to breast feed, I thought I would do a poll...see when everyone started leaking...I know just because I'm almost 29 weeks and haven't started yet doesn't mean that I won't...I just really want nothing more than to breast feed, and I guess I thought something would be happening by now.
Please also let me know if you were able to breast feed or not.

I remember some girls posting saying they never did and was still able to breast feed...so dont you worry girlie!
I was able to squeeze a itty bit out around 25 weeks I believe. The other day was the first time I actually didn't have to squeeze. Now, still hardly anything comes out so its not dripping out of my nipples....yet.

I'd always have to work for it - from about 28 weeks and on...

I never really "leaked" - it would come out if I squeezed a little though - starting at about 25 weeks.
I've been EBF since she was born

No boob juice here either! Hopefully in a few weeks I can let you know about the breastfeeding, but from what I've read it really doesn't affect it. Fingers crossed that's the case for both of us!

I wouldn't worry about it. I think that it will come when the time is right. I see women in the NICU that just gave birth that are worried that they will not be able to BF and end up producing LARGE amounts of breast milk.

i dont think i ever leaked it, could get a little if I squeezed I think. EBF for 6 months here and combining with solids now at 7 and a half months. Dont worry at all!!!! If you want to breastfeed that much, you will, that was my only concern.

I don't leak....I've squeezed a few times before getting into the shower hoping to get something and nothing. Someone here didn't leak at all and breastfeeds....I just don't remember who - I think it might have been Erin.
I didn't vote in the poll.

Cheryl, I get "nipple cheese" too! I notice it a lot in the morning when I wake up - a small amount of thick dried up residue or something on my nipples, is that what you're talking about? I've been having this since 15 weeks or so and it's always kind of gross to me because I expect stuff to come out of my breasts, but I expect it to be liquid-y

I've heard that it doesnt really matter if you leaked before or not...you'll still get your milk...
I did have it around 28 weeks, but it only came out if I squeezed...
and it still took 4 days for my milk to come in and poor Kaiden was STARVING until it did!

I never had any, once I had want looked like pale yellow flaky skin (gross, TMI!!) but only the day before I broke waters, so I guess that was my milk making its way up.
I am still BF and Ana is 1 next month. Just make sure you take some nipple cream to the hospital for the first couple of days. They suck like you wouldnt believe until the real milk comes in! I used to call Ana my milk leach!

Don't worry. I never leaked it before they were born. Even after they ate it, so I never really leaked it. And with never leaking I've been nursing 2 for 7.5 months. It took my milk until day 5 to really come in and I did have to suppliment with some formula because of the girls having really low blood sugars. I figured them eating, no matter what it was, was much better than having their heels pricked over and over for blood every few hours in the hospital.

I would leak a little once a month or so. It started happening about 5-6 months into my pregnancy. Don't worry, everyone is different. I'm sure your supply is juuust fine.

I never leaked- it would come out if I squeezed starting at 35-36 weeks but many women never see their colostrum and successfully breastfeed. It's super early for you I definitely wouldn't worry. I also don't think leaking colostrum is any indication of your ability to breastfeed!
