Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to let you know that today's item on www.babysteals.com is the Ergo Baby Carrier that some of the ladies here have recommended!
I was soooo excited to find this as I had been borrowing a Bjorn from a friend, but was really concerned about the hip thing, so I purchased mine today!
I did some checking and for the Organic Black Embroidered one, you could easily pay $135, so that's half the price! Definitely worth checking out

Yay for you! Throw that nasty Bijorn out now!!!!! This is such a steal! If i didnt already have an over abundance of baby carriers i would totaly get it! This is a great alternative to the icky bijorn...SAFE BABYWEARING!

Hmmm....I'm going to have to think about this one! I don't know if I'm up to spending the $60. But I'll decide by tonight.
Can any users tell me what you had before/ what made you change to an Ergo/ how often you use it....thanks!
Edit: Nevermind, after reading....I took the leap and bought a blk one. Thank you Tina for the site, I had never heard of it.

If we didn't already own 2 we would be buying one. I love my Ergos! I don't know how I would survive from day to day without that and my Moby.

I love my ergo too! I thought I could save the money and buy a cheaper carrier instead. Boy was I wrong! This is well worth the money.

Lee Ann--you're welcome! I had never heard of the site either until LaurenS posted something awhile back and now I'm addicted! I can't wait to get mine and start using it, Mari is too big now, but you might want to check out getting an infant insert for it

thanks so much! After reading a ton, I decided the ergo is the one I wanted. I was going to buy it, but I asked my husband if he would want to use it (to get the black instead of pink), and he told his mom about it so she bought me the pink one as a shower gift. lol! Such a great deal, thanks again!

I cant tell you how happy I am about this. With the recent recall i was afraid that babywearing would get a bad rap.....they werent specific with the carriers that caused death when the story first broke....... I actually had people coming up to me while wearing my 15month old on my back concerned. Pissed me off! Then when the story broke about the specific sling...which always looked like a cheap death trap to me....Im hoping that it just makes more new parents aware of baby wearing safety! The ergo is awesome, and a much wiser choice then the bijorn (for mom and baby)!
....um..can you tell im passionate about babywearing?

Just for fun....here's a pic of DH wearing Connor in the ergo (with the old infant insert, the new one is MUCH better and allows them to face completely inward).
Connor loves being in it and will stay in it for hours!
I took this on Tuesday.

I got the black one becuase we have the bjorn now and DH loves to carry Bella around in it. I hope he likes the Ergo too! Can't wait for it to come!!!

I just got the Ergo today! That was pretty quick!
I tried it on initially and my impression is that it is a bit more complicated than the Bjorn as far as getting it on and stuff, but it's definitely more comfortable than the Bjorn since it distributes the weight to my hips...so I'm sure I'll get use to putting it on in no time
