My son is just about 2 weeks old, and no matter what I do, what diaper I try, in newborn or size 1, he pees up through his diaper onto his back. I keep his penis pointed down...I'm getting so frustrated with all the clothes changes...any suggestions??

use pampers swaddlers...and get the gussets out(andrea tip)...and do them pretty tight (i always do the velcro like 3 times to get it perfect)...
huggies stink...swaddlers are the only ones that work...

fwiw, newborn size was discontinued (and on mAjor sale round here)...new size is "newbaby"...

He must have a powerful shot if he's getting his back wet. I know how frustrating leaky diapers are. Seeing as you're making sure his penis is pointed down (plus, if it wasn't, he'd probably have a wet front and not a wet back) and have tried different sizes & brands, I really don't know what to tell you. The only thing I can think of is what Tonya suggested with the gussets (stretchy/elastic-like things around his thighs) and making sure you pull them out when the diaper is secure.

we had problems in the beginning and after about 3 weeks it got better for some unknown reason! we always used pampers swaddlers also.

Are you sure you are making the waist tight enough? Maybe try doing the velcro part just a bit tighter. Good luck!

I LOVE Pampers Swaddlers, we only had some leakage problems with them at night. I switched to Pampers Baby Dry at night and haven't had any leaks since. I recently tried Target's diapers during the day and no leaks yet but they aren't as soft as the Swaddlers so I may switch back after I'm done with them.
