Ladies I was kinda feeling sick a few times today and I snacked on something and was fine. But I came home this afternoon and felt funky again so I read in PregnancyFit mag. that hummus was a good snack for funky stomachs...
sooo I made up a batch of lemon garlic hummus...had it tonight for dinner on two pieces of crushed wheat bread with a slice of red bell pepper on them...holy cow it was AWESOME. Feel great!
1 15-16 oz can of chick peas
6 tablespoons of olive oil
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon cumin
2 crushed garlic cloves

Oh Safeway has this extra garlic hummus, made by "Eating Right" or whatever - OMG it is so so so good... Apparently it is the protein and iron and fibre in the hummus that is good for you. I just love the stuff, I might have to try that recipe! Thanks!
Big huge hugz and thanks to tasha_mae for my beautiful siggy!
