I was about 11 weeks or so when I told my boss... just before my ultrasound. After I knew all was well with that - I told HR and then let the secret out. I showed my u/s to a few people and then just let the gossip train do the rest.
I told my boss at 10 weeks just after my first ultrasound....but I didn't openly tell anyone else nor have I made any announcement to this day. The admin. asst did ask me at about 9 weeks if I was and I told her the truth. Most people can tell or work-up the courage to ask.
I told my boss this morning. I knew I had to soon because I want to stop worrying every morning about what I am wearing and how much I am showing. He was shocked but very supportive. Apparently he didn't even notice that I had been at many many doctors appointments in the past couple of months. We still have 6 months to figure it out but he was fairly concerned about finding my replacement for when I am gone (in Canada we get a year of maternity leave supplemented by government benefits and I will be taking advantage of that year).
The rest of work will find out when they find out... either through the grapevine or when they figure it out on their own.

I told my supervisor yesterday at 5 weeks just because I was considering quitting. There is a lot of times i'll be lifting heavy things, pushing out carts with a lot of clothes on it and after my loss in june i'm scared and want to take it easy. Thankfully they're really supportive and will limit my days now and what I do.
Erica, my boss was fairly concerned about me as well. He even asked if I needed to change anything about my work ... but I have a desk job and said no. So then he talked about stress and told me to make sure I take it easy and take care of myself. It was definitley good to know he is aware of what concerns might be there.

Because of my history, and the heavy lifting that I do at my job, I let my boss know right away. That is just my boss here in the office. Because we are a corporation, I asked that they not tell their boss till I was 13 weeks.
