Hey ladies,

Today was our first U/S at 5w2ds to verify the pregnancy was interuterine and not ectopic and to date our LO. Well, everything is GREAT! We have ONE perfect little baby. I am 5 weeks 2 days today based on conception (we did FET), but our LO was measuring a day ahead at 5 weeks 3 days. Still no heartbeat that they could detect, which they said is normal??? I will go back next week for another U/S to hear the heartbeat. Then I go every 2 weeks after that until I am 12 weeks. I am praying for a heartbeat next week since it will be our anniversary that day!! Anyways, so all in all it sounds like things are great.

Just curisous how early have you heard the heartbeat?

Thanks ladies!!

I'm also 5 weeks 3 days and i'm having an ultrasound tomorrow but i have heard that you won't hear it before 6 weeks at the earliest. So i'm not getting my hopes up for tomorrow! But at least you only have to wait 2 more weeks to hear your LO!!! Glad all went well today!!

Congrats! I saw a hb at exactly six weeks but didn't hear it by doppler until about 12. Good luck!

That's awesome that your baby is measuring on schedule! Don't worry about the hb. My RE doesn't even do u/s until 7 weeks because the hb can start anywhere between 5 - 7 weeks. At our 7 week u/s we didn't hear or see the hb, but they assured us it was beating. I got to hear the hb on the doppler at 12 weeks.

It is great to measure ahead this early. I think that is a sign of great things to come

We saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks 4 days but were told it will not neccessarily be detected that early. Hopefully at your next appointment you will see it flickering away

That's great!!! So excited for you!!! I saw the HB really early on, but I know it's not uncommon to not see it until 7+weeks.

we saw the heartbeat at our first u/s at 8 weeks. Didn't hear it with the doppler until 12 weeks appointment. It is an amazing thing to hear!

yay for a healthy baby!!! That's completely normal to not hear/see the heartbeat this early on. My dr. won't even schedule appts until 8-12 weeks, so that it doesn't freak people out. I had my first u/s at 8w3d. I'm sure you'll be able to see your LOs heart drumming away at your next ultrasound!!!

Yay for a good ultrasound!! My doctor wouldn't make an appointment until between 8-10 weeks either because of the HB! No worries!!

My doc also wouldn't look for a heart beat before 8 weeks, so I saw it at 9 weeks on an u/s, but she was by one of my blood vessels so I didn't hear it until later.

Woohoo!!! I didn't have my first appt until 9 weeks so that's the first time we heard the HB.

DITTO! Congrats on a great appointment The midwife wouldn't see us till 8wks because seeing the HB before then is iffy so I would definitely not worry. I bet you'll hear it at the next appointment!
