I was fully expecting this little guy to be having a party last night during the graduation party we threw for B's little brother. There was a lot of action and noise and we barely sat down all night. But he didn't do a thing the whole time we were there (even after i ate, which is odd). Did your baby (or does your baby) get excited during crazy times or is it mostly just when you're relaxed, hanging out?

I think she is most active when I'm just laying around. The only time I think I actually got her moving is when I was playing with a bouncy ball in the toy store and it hit me pretty hard in the belly. I guess that made her mad because she kicked me through the rest of the store trip. Mostly she's quiet until 8-9 pm whn I am usually laying on the couch watching tv.

the lull of your walking around like a crazy person all day probably put him to sleep! Bella didn't really respond to stuff like that until I was in my 3rd tri. Even though you are feeling kicks and all, he could still be moving around in there and you don't know it. 20 weeks is still pretty early..some people don't really feel movement yet There's a reason 28 weeks is the magic number for kick counts...they are much bigger so you can certainly feel any/all movement!

Well i did not get to the third trimester so i can't comment on that but i've always heard what others have said, the moving around/walking puts baby to sleep so it wakes up when you're laying still

well he's back to normal this morning of course. And yeah, my placenta was anterior as of Friday so i'm not SUPER shocked that i didn't feel anything while i was walking around/moving. I was just surprised he didn't wake up and move around some after we ate. He's been pretty active for the last week or two now. Crazy little baby!

Fisher is much more active when I'm laying around! And I've noticed that he tends to "hide" when we are in really loud places!

Kate, Baby L usually does the opposite of what I expect. We were campig with family all weekend and I thought I would feel the baby all the time (like I do at work) but almost no movements/kicks were felt this weekend. Except for the ride home when the kicks were coming fast and furious (or course not really "hard" yet but definitely noticable).

Hey Kate, I'm not sure if you are still wondering about this, but I remember I was about half way, and DH and I went to a social. (It's like a big party with drinking and dancing and loud music and food) and people kept asking me...is your baby going crazy in there...is she boucing around...she's probably kicking lots??!! And I was also very worried, because she wasn't at all...especially since I was on my feet lots (as you said you were) people told me not to worry, because they were sure she was fine. And she is... She is prefect!! I'm not sure if this really makes sense...I'm trying to catch up a bit, but I am a little sleep deprived.
